Unhappy My Lipo battery won't balance

I'm charging an Orion Race Spec 3800 30C 2s pack with a Protek 106B+. I always balance charge just cause I can.

One cell is always .15-.25v lower than the other. I have dischgarged and charged at 1 and 2 amps., but they never match up. Any suggestions? This is an older battery with hundreds of cycles, and I am the second owner.

The difference isn't that great. It could just be the beginning of the end for it. I would keep using it while monitoring the difference. It may last awhile just keep an eye on it.

Also raise your lipo cutoff on your ESC so you keep both cells over 3V

Just some FYI. I had a Turnigy 5000 30C Lipo do the exact same thing a couple of days ago.

It got out of balance with one cell at 4.20 and one at 3.9.

The pack did'nt swell, so I discharged it and charged it at 1 amp about 4 times.

They almost got back in balance with one at 4.2 and the other at 4.1.

I decided to run it. Bad idea, it ran good for about 2 mins then just stopped.

I took the pack out and it swelled like you won't believe. So much it started to pull the hard case apart.

Discharged it on the charger and into a bucket of salt water. TOAST!

Don't risk it. One battery is not worth your RC ride, real car, house etc. etc.
