Warner Robins Hot Spots!
OK! Today is my first day out here in Warner Robins, GA. Where are all the hobby shops and off road tracks?
And what's up with the weather out here, I'm not in Cali' anymore...

I may be relocating to Georgia as well. Augusta, to be exact. Hopefully, there will be some good racing at least within an hour's drive.
1/10 scale electric 4wd mod and 2wd buggy?
1/10 onroad touring car, 1/12 onroad pan car?

brief correction
Turtle Trax has a hobby shop and indoor 1/10 scale electric only offroad track, but its in Cartersville now. We will be moving in a couple of weeks.
thanks

Onroad racing the ONLY option is Marrietta GA unless your willing to drive very south or very north. 1/10th touring car is slowly dieing in the area though. They normaly have a decent turnout for 1/12th scale though.
Electric buggy your best bet is our track (Turtle Trax) were the only 1/10th scale electric only track in GA. Everything else is designed around 1/8th gas buggy. However Loganville has an excellent compromise track. fun for 1/8th buggy but you can get a 1/10th electric buggy around it fine as well there helping us grow the electric scene but dont always have a good electric turnout for buggy. Generaly there SCT class is plentiful though. 4wd mod buggy isn't really running strong but there is a group trying to bring it back for the indoor track. I'm hoping it picks up because I tried to get the class going last year but sold both my B44's when I lost hope a couple months ago before we planned the move.

DoubleCut,
Welcome to the Heart of Georgia...where you're two hours from anything and everything! We used to have a great track here in Warner Robins at the Houston Co. Fairgrounds but had to close it about two years ago. As has been mentioned, there are a number of really good tracks throughout the state so it more or less depends what your racing. My favorite is VRP. It's is the closest track to Warner Robins at about an hour and fifteen minutes North on I-75 and offers a Dirt Oval, Bump & Jump, and indoor racing.
There are a few of us locally that race in the GCS series. Two of us work at the AFB and two work off base. Your more than welcome to join us to the next GCS race in September (McDonough), and October in Savannah if you'd like. We can provide good directions. Hope to meet you sometime.

Short Coarse Truck...
OK, I want to purchase a kit this weekend, but I want to purchase from a brick & mortar business, not from an online business...
Maybe a Blitz or a SC10...
Where can I go, remember I still here in Warner Robins...

Turtle Trax in Cartersville has two SC10s in stock, I'm sure there are others closer to you that will also and I'd wait for one of them to chime in to their location
