Default August 7th SummerThunder 1/10th Electric Shootout

Here it is everyone!! While the final sponsorship details are still being worked out I wanted to get this posted for all to see. We've had an exciting year so far with some great electric offroad races. So let's get the word out and have a awesome race!

Tina and Gene at TurtleTrax have stepped up to sponsor the Novice class. So bring the kids for some fun and prizes!

Curtis, the important question here is are you running the stock or open class this time? I want to run agenst you I assumed you were going to run stock last time and left my 13.5 and 8.5 at home.. I'll be sure to bring extra motors to this race

Hey Adam,

I plan to run the Open class again. Hopefully we can get enough to have that as a class during club races as well. So bring some POWA!!!

There were some that were upset that there were no bump ups at the state race and that they weren't informed before the race. Purely for the sake of advanced knowledge this will be a no bump up in the mains race correct?

Do you think the track can hold a 10.5 or do you think a 13.5 would be more than apropriate?

Well, I have changed my work schedule so I can race this race. I guess I will run buggy and the open SCT class. This race will be the last for my SCT.

What are the suggested tires for SCT at Loganville? I have a set of goosebumps and have been wanting to try something else.

There's some varying opinions on the bump ups. Personally I think it keeps the racing interesting throughout the day. So on that note, this race will bump the first two cars to the next main.

13.5 is good. I ran a 10.5 at the Peach State race and it was better.

Goosebumps work really well. I'd think the Subcultures would also excel on this surface. For those looking for something outside JConcepts, Proline Calibers and AKA Enduros work great too.

The Peach State Classic was a great event with over 50 entries then our state race with 64 entries. Can we look for 100 for this I know there are that many guys out there with 1/10th buggies and SCTs. Thanks to Loganville for stepping up and helping promote electric racing in GA again. Should be some nice prizes to be given away at this event as well as some nice trophies. Oh and racing the mains under the lights HIZALES YAHYUH!!!!!!!!!!

This race would be a good excuse to borrow my father in-law's camper.

Is the Novice Class going to be $25 as well. I have a friend that might be interested in racing with his five year old son for the first time ever, but I am afraid that $50 would discourage him from coming.
