EVADER SCT..... isn't that latin for EPIC FAIL? I have a feeling the logo will be the best feature of that truck.

You going to run it this Sunday? What tires are you putting on this thing?

With a little bit of modification, I was able to put 12mm hexes all around. I plan to run Stock Slash wheels and tires until I can afford to got the Jconcepts route. I'll have it with me Sunday and if nothing else, it'll see some testing.

I'd run buggy if I had a speedo. The 12th scale is race ready but I have no issue pulling the motor to put it in the buggy if I had a speedo. I don't want to pull the ESC from the 12th scale. If I pull the speedo from the 12th scale, it ain't going back and that means I won't race 12th scale till probably January when I can afford another speedo.

My truck will be back in one piece tonight and race ready. It will have the 7.5 in it.

Why not take the ESC out of the truck and put it in the buggy. That way you could run 13.5 or Mod classes with the buggy at TT.

The SpeedPassion ESC does not fit well at all. I know Gene got it to fit in his buggy, but the RB5 does not quite have the room that the B4 has in the chassis. That was my original plan for the ESC I got but I was not happy once I got it mounted, so I took it out and put it in the truck.

Can you mount the ESC on top of the battery strap in the cockpit area of the body?

Probably could, but on my drive home I have decided to take the esc from the 12th scale.

Hey I am the guy Colby was talking about. I am running a Mamba Max with the Castle 4600 motor and currently have it geared pretty low, 14/86 if I remember correctly, but it is definitely still faster than when it was stock. I thought I could reduce the top end in the programming but haven't been able to yet. I'm not against sticking something under the trigger though. The whole draw of the shortcoursers to me was the scale appeal and close quarters fender banging, so I'd really like to get it so I can run with other SC's.

Considering the track is almost 2hrs from me I'd like to get everything right before driving over there. Do you have the necessary transponders for sale at the track or do they still have to be bought online? Anything else I need to be aware of aside from the fact that my truck kinda lacks legalness.

Nexus has transponders for 95 thats cheaper than most. www.nexusracing.com Just come on out and run we will sort out the legallities later. You could also turn down the epa of the throttle to compensate fot the extra top end.

Ok thanks for the info. So long as it's an AMB transponder it will work? I don't think I'd be able to get one by this weekend unless I can find one locally.

I'm still running the stock radio, but maybe I can get something else to swap in with EPA's.
