I've heard that the new HPI F1 is going for $99 pretty much everywhere. I think it comes with a correct motor also. The hopups should be on the way soon. Now that is cheap racing! By the way, one of the HPI's was at the ultimate F1 race last weekend and the report was that it is fast. Not only that but Joel Johnson was kicking butt with an old...and I mean "OLD" 80's Kyosho F1 car. That had to be a sight. Find something and come on down.

Hey, looking over your posts and this does sound like a fun series.
Im just getting out of nitro tc as there is basicly nowhere to run and im looking at getting into electric. How much might it cost for me to get into this class and where is the track located? Do they have any pics of there track?
Thanks
As far as the f1's, you can get one new for about $100-!70$ depending on what you want. Just need electronics. Which the 540 motor we will be running is only around 15 bucks.

Skip in our new Alpha car had a great race for about 4 min with Joel's "old" Kyosho. I think with silver cans most any car can be made competitive. At the Tamiya track F103's and F104's were just as fast. To bad MLP cars were not ready to race with us. Sure hope Marty can have his cars ready on the 24th. The new HPI car on rubber tires was a bit of a handful but won one heat race! Car should be great on foam tires with a silver can!
I am just about finished with the points program for the F1 championship. If those of you who do intend to run this series want to p.m. your name I will go ahead and put in and post it. I thought that way we all could see is goin' to be runnin' . Not a real commitment other than you might race.
Chad I got you in already.

If you are in need of a body or looking for a new F1 body, look no further.
Protoform has made two F1 bodies, and they are available now for purchase.
The bodies go for 19.95, but you will still have to use your wings and helmet.

Im really glad to see the the HPI F1 for $99. I think all F1 cars should be reasonable. I dont know anyone who has an F1 and thats their only car. Pretty much everybody thats in to it is in as a second or third class.
