Not quite...we're saying that we think racers might prefer 17.5 since they are faster than they used to be.

13.5 is still the feature TC class as it is the more established class around here (people already have the motors). Any class can run if there are 5+ entries.

13.5 for me is the way to go. we have been running the 13.5 on wednesday nights this summer and is they best way to go. plenty of power but not uncontrolable. I have the need for speed...the track can easilly handle the 13.5..fast if fun

Kumpol....How is the Carpet now that it is sheared...? Is it better, I think foams are dying quick, the entries at the iic were worse than Snowbirds, wish they would just call it done and run Rubber and nothing else like europe.

Thanks Fernando

It was good. We will need to lay the traction back down, but it was good. Should only get better.

I started tearing into the TC3 today getting it ready for another season of fun got a steel outdrive for the rear and a spool comming for the front. MIP shinny front bones and FT alluminum for the rear. Hopefuly I can at least stay on the lead lap with melvin this year

Of course as always I will probobly do more photography than racing.

Ok, I know this may have been covered somewhere at some time before. BUT being an absolute newbie to carpet racing. What is the most competitive class to race there and what ALL do I need to start coming up there for racing? I really think I want to start giving this a shot. The facility is only about 35 minutes from my house.

So I need to know what car I need, tires, batteries and other items of note to be competitive. I already have a radio and transponder.

BTW, I already have a ROAR membership

Also, if there is a Tamiya car that would work for any of the classes that would be good for me as well

TIA

Well last year there were two very competitive classes, 12th scale stock and touring 13.5 rubber
