Saturday 4/4/09 we will attempt to run on and offroad the same day. Should be no reason it won't work. Just to let everyone know in advance (offroad guys mainly) stay off the asphalt once it's prepped to race on. This way we don;t track dirt across the track. Weather forcast is sunny temp 72 so it should be a nice day to race. Come on out and lets have a great day of racing.
I am trying to find some pvc and softer more flexible carpet to build a rythm section for this weekend.
I should be out there. As far as I know I don't have to work this weekend. If I do make it though, the E-Revo won't be making the trip. It needs to be cleaned thoroughly and I just don't have the time to do it. The Slash should make it.
Also, as much as I like the 2wd buggy and truck, I really want to run 4wd. So, that is what I am getting. Unless someone can talk me out of it by tonight.
I am going to get a 2wd buggy. They are cheaper and less maintenance and just as fast as a 4wd. If you 4wd owners don't think so I invite you to run them with the 2wd's and see.
RFury get what you like. I am only getting the 2wd to run at PT I don;t plan on travelling with it.
I would probably rather run the 4wd just because its so much faster than the slashes. No so sure the 2wd would be that much different. I"ll run whatever is being run though not that big of a deal. Need some sorta guidance on specs for each class so we can all at least be close.

My 8 yr. old son and I will try to be there. I have a RC10B2 and he has a RC10T4.
Not sure if I have enough batteries to run both all day.
How long is each race? How many races?
Sign up at 12:00? How much $$ ?

track opens 10am we are gonna try to get the qualifiers going around 1:30 depending on how many show up. Don;t worry about batteries Im sure me or one of the others can help out in that dept. bring the 2wd stuff and let grow this class in GA again!

I have had my butt handed to me on a silver platter by well driven 2wd buggies(even some poorly driven ones). I know they are darn quick. I have never drive a 2wd buggy and I have not driven a 2wd truck(slash not included) since 2001(it was a RC10T2).

I was going to run a 10.5 at PT and get a 7.5 for when I travel to Dalton or Battlefield. I think anything lower than a 10.5/19t and you get too fast for most people considering the size of PT's track. As for 2wd I would run stock 17.5/27t. That would be plenty quick for PT but not enough for the big tracks.

Randy we can set up the computer to seperate the classes but run them together for more of a crowd. We did this at nexus for 17.5 and 13.5 foam. I would say 13.5 or 19T would be plenty fast enough for each for now.
Either way I go (2wd or 4wd) I have to buy everything. I don't have a ESC, motor or anything else I can reuse unless I go brushed and I am not going brushed.

It's looking like there will be enough racers to run separate Slash and 1/10th electric classes. That's great! Let's keep these classes growing guys. Weather was not good last week and we had 10 entries. This Saturday should be beautiful. Hope to see more racers tearing up the dirt/grass!!
I finished my Slash and it's ready to race. Got my body painted and no, it's not all white!!! But it does have a bunch of my on-road stickers on it.
If anybody needs Slash body, I have a new Blue/Silver stock Slash body that I won't be using and I'll sell it cheap.
