Hi, I'm new here. I'm Chip Garlock, and I'm getting my son Taylor (8yrs) into R/C racing. I live in Dalton and didn't even know we had a track until a co-worker saw it and mentioned it to me. . Googled Dalton Raceway and found this place too. SWEEEEEET
We bash around a backyard track with my old RC10B2 Stealth and his T4. Looks like I need to save some coin and get him in the Slash class at Dalton Raceway.

you can bring the buggy and truck to prime time in calhoun on sunday should a few of us there and some slashes as well. The owner is going to keep it electric only this year. prime time is on hwy41 between calhoun and adairsville.

Race's almost every Saturday although you may need an umbrella and a snorkel this weekend.

Since your up here you have dalton on saturdays and Battleifield rossville on sundays. alot of the same guys run at both on both days. Both very nice tracks. Look forward to seeing ya.

We'll have to check out Battlefield this weekend. So they have some electric classes too? How long is each race these days?

get ahold of bigde2001 on when the track will be ready. he has redone it again and last i heard it would be the first of march. usually a real good electric turn out. both my boys run in it and sometimes i do as well. i also run int he sportsman 1/8 scale buggy mainly. in electric i wanna say the heats were 5 and the mains were 7 minutes.

Thats what I was afraid of. Its gonna take some work for our setups to last 5 or 7 minutes. My son is gonna have to learn to release his death grip on the throttle before he'll do much other than keep the spotters busy.
