This may come as somewhat of a shock... but HT had the tires in stock last time I was there They also had a full selection of USVTA legal bodies.

You know... I just thought of something... If we are going to be running in the HT parking lot... why not see if they want to "sponsor" the USVTA class? Maybe we could work out a reduced price on USVTA parts or even build up a few USVTA ready cars that customers could walk in, buy and come outside and race with us? im sure there are a few TC4's hiding in inventory somewhere that would never sell otherwise...

Or rent...I have heard of this being a successful way to promote and get new people involved. I think they were charging like 40 bucks for the day or something.

We'll be running a TA class up here in Nasvhille...Franklin/cool springs hobby town parking lot starting april 27th if any of you guys are don't mind driving.

Tires...Yeah tower is out... but you can find lots of ebay vendors w/ them in stock. Got mine in today.

Should be a fun class.

I would like to run the original ford gt shell but they don't make the original anymore. ..not sure if that was ran in real TA racing but it would be cool. stangs, maros and cudas will have to do.

Got my camaro & cuda body plus my wheels in today. Just waiting on my tires to come in. Now to splash on a paint job and bring back the vintage look.

Tire & Wheel Specifications:
The only tires allowed are HPI tire part #4793 front and #4797 rear, using stock tire inserts provided with tire and any HPI Vintage wheels designed to fit these tires. Five or Eight spoke wheels available in various colors. 0mm offset front wheels and 6mm offset rear wheels are intended for 26mm width fronts and 31mm width rear tires. 8-spoke Vintage wheels from #3805 through #3814, 5-spoke Vintage wheels from #3815 through #3822 and Vintage stock car wheels from #3854 through #3860 are all legal wheels

Is that pantera Legal? I Want one.

OK from what I gather, these are the styles of legal rims. There are more colors but these are the shapes.

All of these pictures came from HPI's website.

I dont know why the X patterns arent allowed with the vintage tires since they are the same compound. I guess the tread makes all the differrence.

By the way I asked coop on his thread if he would run USVTA if they showed up. You can see his response. So if you guys have cars ready Coop will open a class for you.
