I'm sure everyone can't wait to sit in a separate building and have no idea of what's going on, when the next race is, or be able to turn their head and watch. Part of the fun is hanging out with your friends. If you have to sit by yourself in a separate building it isn't fun.

But of course, no one person would do that. Instead, that one person would think, 'well, one person on the carpet isn't bad', etc. And then one more person. And one more, etc.

The point is, we are suggesting that Tommy simply protect the carpet as much as possible, and that means no pitting on it. If we had each chipped in money for brand new Ozite, or it Tommy had purchased brand new Ozite, no one would think twice about staying off the carpet except for racing purposes. Just because it was donated, we shouldn't treat it any different.

I just don't understand why some are so adamant to have Tommy spend time and money on another track. The current track could work great for all of us. But yet, WE are the ones bashing by saying save your money?

You could cover the track that is not in use with a tarp or two for protection. They are cheap and durable.

The biggest problem that I see is that everyone waits until they get home to voice their opinion. This is often mis read by many people, and we end up with a big mess like this one. I know that I mentioned it to Tommy on Saturday, and I believe one or two others may have as well. But thats not really enough people to cause a change. I for one would be more than fine running with the removable jumps. But Tommy REALLY wants the offroad track and I doubt that he will give much on the matter. So I think that we need to do like we did with the smurf turf. Set aside some time before the race for discussion and come up with a compromise. Trying to sort it out on the forums is obviously not getting us anywhere.

its stupid because people should be able to get the idea without thinking we are bashing.

from a previous post from tommy he stated " why cant you bring this up during a drivers meeting or face to face " well read Keith's post you have talked to him and other people have.

A business owner can either choose to listen to his customers from every method possible, or ignore them. Not everyone can be at the driver's meetings. They are very impromptu; rarely do you see an announcement that
a particular discussion will be decided at a driver's meeting.

And every driver's meeting I've attended addresses that particular race. Not things to come or discuss.

Touché. Which is why I think Tommy should listen to both.
