Ok, since most of you in here have raced with us a long time and we have this kinda understood rule that stock touring runs rubber tire, I want to here from you. Seriously, the tire rule for stock touring will remain the same if you guys dont speak up. Right now it is open (foam or rubber). Do you want to leave it how it is or have it any rubber tire?

keep at all rubber because thats what everyone has been running and foams will make u a little faster

Hey, guys been trying to get some help... I've only raced Stock TC at ThunderRC in nashville, indoor carpet track. I got my tc4 pretty setup for it but I have very little rubber tire setup knowledge. HD told me the track gets grape soda'd but I've never driven on sticky pavement w/ rubbers...just messed around outside on the street. I guess what would help me the most is trying to determine how much or how little roll I need to setup for this track. I know going from stock trim to what I got for carpet know I have very little roll, took out most of the shims to adjust for the smaller foam tires. I know w/ low grip I want alot of roll but I don't have a clue for high grip asphalt w/ those giant rubber tires! lol.
If someone can help me pick a good rubber tire and give me some ideal of how stiff or loose a setup I know for a tc4 would greatly help.
Oh, and what has a bigger turn out..stock or mod tc? How hot a motors in mod? I got a 10turn I could run but I'd like to be somewhat competitive....
Thanks.

Are you running a FT TC4?
Stock is king around here. More and more racers are going to 13.5 BL everyday. A few still run 27T motors.
Heath - Any rubber tire on asphalt all the way!! We could even have a limit of one set(driver's choice) for the entire event. Just bring the set you intend to use over to the tech table before qualifying starts and they will be marked for the event. This will keep the costs down by preventing people from running a new set of rubbers every round! Best of all the race will remain a driver's war and not a tire war!

I just like the idea of trying to make one set of tires remain fast for the entire event. Coopers track is easily smooth enough to run one set of tires all day with no problems at all(unless you abuse your tires of course!). The last race I ran up there I was using a set of 20+ run MM32's that were run at Easley, PT and Nexus and I was still fast on the clock!

I only have one set of rubber tires and one of those rims is cracked. Thats how I plan to race.
Speedsterblade to me the Rubber tires dont break free as smoothly as foams. When they break loose its loose. Until then it will stick. But Im not the guy to take setup advise from. Just look at the above sentence.
