Default Points series starts this Saturday!

The first race will be oval this week for the 4 race series. Next week it will start the roadcourse series. All the series races are at 6pm. The 1 o'clock races will stiil run for those wanting to get extra laps and testing in like this Saturday. Classes for oval points are;
Pancar
Touring
Offroad buggy and truck

Roadcourse classes are
1/12th
GP2
Touring
Mini
The entry fee will stay the same as always. Also, there may be a break during the Snowbirds since quite a few people are going there.

Any questions?

Might sound strange but check the AMA system for MX. That seems to work better than anything we've tried so far. It rewards good position but does not punish a bad raceday. It worked great for the tour and we will use it again.

Who plans to race on-road at 1pm this Saturday 1/6?

If there are enough racers to run Touring I'll come up to race.

George - Do you have a link for the AMA MX Points System?
Or could you post how the AMA points system rewards points.

Thanks

These?

U. Championship Points
  1. When the results of Motocross championship races are declared official, championship points will be awarded down to a maximum of twenty places for each moto, except consolation and qualifying motos.
  2. When the results of Supercross or Arenacross events are declared official, championship points will be awarded down to a maximum of twenty places for the overall results of the main event.
  3. Riders who qualify for a starting position in the 40 rider program, but are unable to make the start or drop out of the event before completing lap one, will be listed in the results relative to the order in which they qualified or dropped out. Points and purse will be awarded for their earned position.
  4. Points will be awarded for each Motocross moto and Supercross main according to the following schedule:

    1st 25 11th 10

    2nd 22 12th 9

    3rd 20 13th 8

    4th 18 14th 7

    5th 16 15th 6

    6th 15 16th 5

    7th 14 17th 4

    8th 13 18th 3

    9th 12 19th 2

    10th 11 20th 1
  5. The Supercross series champion of each class will be decided based on the total annual series points accumulated from each main event. In the event of a tie for the championship, the winner will be determined based on the number of main event wins during the Supercross series. Should it still remain a tie, finishes of second, third, etc. will be tallied until the tie is broken. If a tie remains, the best finish in the last race will determine the champion.
  6. The Motocross series champion of each class will be decided based on the total annual series points accumulated from each moto. In the event of a tie for the championship, the winner will be determined based on the number of moto wins during the Motocross series. Should it still remain a tie, finishes of second, third, etc. will be tallied until the tie is broken. If a tie remains, the best finish in the last race will determine the champion.
  7. Points will be awarded for each Arenacross and Arenacross Lites main according to the following schedule:

    1st 20 10th 9

    2nd 18 11th 8

    3rd 16 12th 7

    4th 15 13th 6

    5th 14 14th 5

    6th 13 15th 4

    7th 12 16th 3

    8th 11 17th 2

    9th 10 18th 1
  8. The Arenacross series champion will be decided based on the total annual series points accumulated from each main event in both classes. In the event of a tie for the championship, the winner will be determined based on the number of main event wins during the Arenacross series. Should it still remain a tie, finishes of second, third, etc. will be tallied until the tie is broken. If a tie remains, the best finish in the last race will determine the champion.
V. Manufacturer Points
  1. To establish a manufacturer champion in Motocross and Supercross, points will be awarded to each manufacturer for its highest-placed finisher in the Supercross class and Motocross Lites and Motocross classes.
  2. The same 20 place championship point scale applied to riders in Motocross and Supercross will be used.

Any questions?
Are 27 turn and 6 cells the only rules for touring? Who's in charge of tech?

Thats it! The MX points and not the stupidcross stuff. No extra points for TQ since this is all about the finishline!

Yes, those are the basic rules for Stock Touring Class. ROAR Rules.

Lately, there hasn't been any teching of cars. Just the honor system. And that has worked just fine. Teching the cars would only take a minute. 6 cells.....check! Stock motor/arm.........check! Okay you're done! Might not be a bad idea to tech after the Mains. Just to make things fair.

It doesn't matter to me.
