Thanks for coming, Mike. I think the guys with the fast motors are breaking them in at low voltage for a long time (like 3 hours) and trying different types and combinations of comm drops.

Default mini slop

since i am still a novice at this mini cooper racing i was wondering is it normal for my car to have a little play between the wheel hubs and bearings? if not how do i get rid of it?
I'am an OLD oval driver and i'm not used to the lack of adjustability.
any and all advise is very much welcomed.

Hello Mike, I used to race oval years back also. FL and GA. Had lots of fun running in circles!

Yes, the play is normal for a stock Mini. You can use washers and shims to get rid of excess play. But don't make it too tight. All parts should move freely with no binding. If you have any more questions just ask. There are plenty of guys that know a lot about these cars. I've only had mine about a month. So I'm still learning all the tricks.

thanks for the link that answered just about all the questions i had about tuning this type of car. i know motor break in is so important but at the same time if your car is not 100% the fastest motor and m,ost powerful battery is if no use.
I really enjoyed my first day back racing with you guys and i really apprecaite how easy it is to get help.
the faster we go the more we smile!

Gates open at 9:00am. Racing will start around 12:00.

Weather permitting, I plan on running my MINI. There should be a good crowd of MINI's at the Bowl.

Not sure about the entry fee. Haven't raced at the Bowl in years. Actually, I have never been on the on-road track. Only the oval and off-road tracks.

See everyone there. Anyone going to have any extra room under some shade for me to pit? And I don't mean under a tree.
