The date change ruins it for me, now I will have to wait until later in the year to run on carpet.

The original plan was for the entire schedule to be on the third weekend for each race date. Minnregg had something already scheduled for the building that week. The Novak race was the week earlier that is why we are on the 4th and 5th now.

Can someone explain the tire rule to me? Are the tires handouts, do you specify what your 2 sets are? Can you run foams at the Minnreg round? Just curious. Question 2 (or four depending on how you look at it) - what is the schedule for the race? Is Sat. practice and race on Sunday, or are there qualifiers on Saturday?

Thanks for the information.

Nikos, foams are not allowed in the State Series for Touring Cars. The tire rule is for 19t and Mod classes, basically you get two sets of premounted cs-27's You can buy them at the track for 22 bucks or something like that. Schedule for the races are usually Friday practice (if allowed by the track promoter) Saturday - Two qualifiers - Sunday Resort, one qualifier and the Mains. You can usually get 3 or 4 hours of practice on Saturday before racing starts.

First State race is complete. The turnout was a little low, but I am sure it was because of the holiday/date change. They finally got smart and ran the track the same direction as the Snowbirds. We got a chance to run the same setup.

Those are the results of the state series points classes form the weekend. Once again many thanks to the Minnreg crew as they did a fine job in their usual fashion. I would personally like to thank the Honeybells on their fantastic dinner once again this year.

Good luck at the snow birds race this year. All you people that have won a state series jacket either this year or previous years please wear them if its cold enough at the birds. To the Florida gang lets win all of the snowbird classes this year.
