Series tech inspection
This is a PSA for everyone. We will be teching all vehicles, mainly the stock classes for the series. Here is what we are looking for and is much needed across the board:
Myself and Billy Bruce will be completing a pre-tech inspection at each of the point series races.
We will be checking to see if your ESC is in blinky mode, legal rotors.. spec rotors only no mod rotors in your 17.5
Stator resistance will be checked and the numbers will be written down next to your name. This is done to see if anyone is pulling the wire or shortening the wire. Some suggestions, clean your motor. If you would like Billy to clean, lube and re-shim them the cost is $5 to him. If not we will return your motor the way it was given to us.
The motors will be sealed and screw holes filled in (you can still open them, you will be re checked if re-opened). There will be a table trackside for you to place your transmitter on with radio trim in neutral to properly check if your cars are in blinky mode. There will be a list of blinky rules and approved ECS's on hand for all to see.
There will be a voltage check before going on the track. If your battery is above 8.5 volts, you will need to get another battery. Charge your batteries properly! You can not charge in NIMH or Nicd mode, unless you have these batteries. No over charging, ITS NOT SAFE!
There will be a scale track side for everyone to weigh their vehicle. Here are the ROAR minimum weights:
2wd Buggy 53 oz
4wd Buggy 57 oz
Stadium truck 60 oz
2wd SCT 74 oz
4wd SCT 88 oz
Weigh your trucks now so you are not changing your setup at the track.
We are not trying to be difficult, this is something that needs to be done. If anyone has any questions, PLEASE feel free to contact us. We all have an open door. Also Billy's motor will be teched by myself and Tom.
Thanks
Kris

Kris and Billy, let me be the first to thank you guys for taking the time to do tech the right way. Is there a reason for the 8.5 instead of ROAR 8.44v?
One other possibility is to set up a tech schedule by class/car type. Perhaps we can order it in a similar way as the rounds will be run? just some food for thought.
