Kissimmee Area Racers Meet and Greet thread

If you make it, look for 2 dudes pitting together that are both over 6'2" and weigh in at about 375 apiece. I've got a B3 and a T3 painted Flourescent yellow and pink with purple tails and a B3 and a T3 painted red with white, blue and yellow flames.
Or just holler around for Catfish. I'll find ya.

Daytona got cancelled to our beloved state's current over abundance of liquid sunshine.
And by the sound of it, Yuper's tomorrow night isn't looking much better.
Summertime night racing on an outdoor track is a flip of the coin this time of year at best.

Howdy fellow Mouseville racers! My name's David. Been into R/C racing since 1987. I took a hiatus for basically 10 years and with my son, have recently gotten back into the sport. We run what has become old school stuff but I have too much of it to get rid of it. We race offroad buggy and truck.
Anyways, I just wanted to reach out to the people from the greater Kissimmee area and whoever else wants to chime in. So, if you're from Kissimmee, Poinciana, St. Cloud, Haines City, Davenport, BVL, 4 Corners, Westgate / Maingate, S. Orlando, Windermere, Orlando or anywhere else in the Central Florida area, tough base and let us know who you are.
It's bad enough any of us from that area are basically an hour away from any race track, there's no sense in not getting to know each other. Personally, I think it'd be great to try to organize some out-of-town track invasions. I think it would be really neat for 5, 10 or 20 racers to get together and road trip to Tampa, Ocala, the East coast or even further down south like Ft. Myers, the Miami area or the N. Central part of the state's tracks.
I sure hope all this typing wasn't for nothing.
Hope to hear from y'all!!!

I am from melbourne area and run at Kraceway alot now. track is on road but nice. I only run USVTA and my get in to USGT as well. Anyways you had a run in with da boss Pete. We run the VTA mafia crew in central Florida. Anyway seen your post about VTA. to answer your question. older cars have no issue keeping up with the newer shinny models. VTA is a spec class more than anything else. We are always looking for new people to atleast try it out.
Keep in mind that motors new will run ya about 120-160 for combos via novak. we run the 25.5 2cell lipo 5000mah max. full list of what you can run in VTA is on the USVTA web page. heard you and your son my stop by this weekend. Hope to see you there man.

Yeah, thanks. Absolutely my son and I will be there. Ya can't miss us. I'll be the one that looks like a wanna be sumo-wrestler with a son that is so thin and ripped you'll swear he's the milkman's.
I saw on Novak.com they have 25.5/ spec speedos for $120. Not bad at all, IMPO. I also saw on EBay some good deals on TC-3's. Add a couple of bodies, some wheels and tires and AWAAAY WE GO!!
See y'all Sunday!
