I'm going to be in ocala and tampa Dec 26-Jan 1 I'm looking for a place to race Electric and Nitro 8th scale buggies where the action at? I'm willing to travel a couple hours.

You have Lake Park/Hurricane Raceway in Tampa/Lutz (no races over the holiday planned). They don't have regular weekend club racing at this track anyways. It's always open for practice though.

FZRC in Sarasota(1.25hrs from Tampa) electric only but a really nice bunch of guys. Two day event Dec.31st/Jan.1st:
-Regular race on Saturday afternoon, mains under the lights, party till 2:00am.
-Regular race on Sunday morning, see who can drive with a hangover!

Outacontrol in Orlando(1.75hrs from Tampa) nitro/electric planned for Jan.1st - 10am-11am registration and 12pm racing.

Yupers raceway in Lakeland(1hr from Tampa) nitro/electric, but no races for Dec.26-Jan.1st have been announced, no plans at this time for your dates.

Newred doesn't run nitro and hardly ever has any 1/8 e buggies. Newred is basically all 1/10 electric.

Rcis in green cove springs will be running Dec 31st and Jan 1st .

Thats really close to Tampa. But worth the trip....nice place!
