i use regular protoform 10th scale nascar bodies on my touring car. they work great! not usre about 30 guys running touring oval with truck bodies though? first i have heard of this? the focar series is the only form of touring oval outside of the snowbirds i know of? a few of the guys from tampa ran at minnreg with us but they used a regular nasty old on road shell and full wing? i would be real suprised to hear they put truck bodies on them?

when i get the hotel info i'll send out a email to the members as well as info about the strickland 2 day oval race and the next focar race..they are all fast aproaching..oh and race rock all star champs is rolling around! lots of oval racing next 2 months!

Default Monday oval

Kat, Joe runs a oval race every Monday night at Quaker Steak and Lube on 49th St North in Pinellas Park. They run legends/ touring car/nascar trucks. and pan cars with nascar bodies. They split the class's with a sportsman/novice and pro stock for each. Mike Boyland and his crew race there on a regular basis. We don't run oval but help set up and tear down as well as bring a generator and trailer for some of our friends who run oval to use. There are enough people who provide generators to supply for everyone. Racing starts at 7:00 and is over around 10:30 (I know it's late with a two hour drive home). Go to speedlinehobbies.com and check it out. Be safe over there this weekend. They just finished up an 8 week points series. and are getting ready for another point series.

Combining electric and nitro cars in the same class is not an option. If we have 8 or more entries we'll add a nitro class.

Come on...... There has got to be 8 nitro touring guys that want to run ???? I ran last year (just TWO people showed with nitro touring cars) one was from way up north...... I was the other and even though it was just two of us it was still a blast. the hot tire set up was bsr caps greens on the inside and belted silvers on the outside...... We could run touring car bodies to make it easier for everybody.......

ZXBOY we appreciated your running with us last year. Am more than willing to have a nitro class run. And touring car bodies will be fine for that class. (The guys from up north just aren't able to come down this time so it will be dependent on Florida based racers) You and I both know there are plenty of nitro guys that could run.....but the oval scares most of them....
