Quaker Steak & Lube Oval Racing is Back!
As many of you know, Oval racing @ Quaker Steak & Lube ceased when Joe shutdown Speedline, there were many people involved with Quaker Steak Racing on Monday nights which always made it a good time for everyone, Thanks to Joe, R/C racing in our area was strong for many years including on-road and oval events. I would like to announce that on Monday July 26th a few of us from the old Quaker steak days will resume racing at the Lube Pending Bill's(Owner) Final Approval, we have constructed a temporary oval 50' x 80' of PVC and will have electronic lap counting, However due to cost it is not an AMB system so personals will not work, we have a track set and will eventually have them for sale if anyone would like to purchase one for around $50. Main Classes for racing will be 6 cell pan (or 2 cell lipo), Touring car w/truck body, and we are working on a Short course class which will run late Model Bodies. However we will run other classes if there are enough racers to run (4 or more). If anyone has any questions feel free to respond to this thread, email me @ [email protected], or speak with "Captain" Kirk Hysel or Brian @ Phils Hobbyshop for more details. Although we may not be able to Run Quite as well as Joe did it, we are all about getting everyone back out to the Lube for a Good time and competitive racing on Monday Nights! Hope to see everyone back out at the Lube 1st class will be $10.00, each class thereafter will be $5.00, Practice before 6pm and between races will be free!!! (Practice between races will be limited due to time constraints)

Just a suggestion on your oval (pan car) classes:
13.5/1s/CoT body class is pretty big. 17.5/1s/limited ESC/battery is Sportsman Truck class. I suggest keeping up with what the national organization TOUR will be running for rules in order to get and keep a good driver base:

There is no more "round-cell" or 2-cell classes, unless you count what a local track might be running (21.5/2s). Everything oval is now 1-cell:
17.5 Truck (limited ESC/battery)
13.5/CoT body
10.5 open ESC/body
7.5 open (which might be a bit much...heck, even 10.5 might be too much for that short a track).
