Well, it is better for the series to run 1 tire for the entire series... For a few reasons...

That being said, A few us have been running the Solaris Hard, which is roughly a 36... I have run it on track temps ranging from 55-60.. all the way up to 125.. and it works on.. so I would hazard to say the hard tire would be the one to run... I am told the operating temps for the tire is 50-170f

Let me tell you, this tires has not come unglued either....

Wow! This thread grew pretty fast!

As for ROAR, we are a ROAR series. The previous director did check and enforce membership. I'll find out whose responsibility it is and let them know. Race director or Roar rep., either way we need to be more diligent. Even on a cheap day, this is a relatively expensive hobby, the ROAR membership is just a small part of that...and has been since I started racing in 1985.

I'm willing to listen to any proposal for tires. Robby has been really good to us, as was Jack, and Schumacher before that. Price is important, performance, and a ready supply, and flexible terms...all factors that will be considered and weighed before a decision is made.

We will prepare an internet ballot for next season and racers will have input, but I feel that some decisions will have to be made by leadership that will benefit the series as a whole....we can't open every decision every time...nothing would ever get accomplished, but be rest assured that I will look at things, accept opinions, and make the best decision for the series and the most racers. Tony, Izzy, Tim C., and Dave, and the racers will all be valuable resources to me as we make the transition for the 2010/11 series.

If you have a concern regarding the series, please contact me first. We don't need to air complaints and grievances for anyone on the internet to interpret. I'll have my email address, cell, and home phone info posted on the FSEARA site soon. I don't mind trying to solve problems, but if you also have possible solutions, they would also be appreciated.

I'm looking forward to racing and having a great time next season. MM

1. How about we make rcgt a state series class
2. 5 to 6 weeks between races
3. New spec tire or xenon 32
4. Start at 10:00am on Sunday
5. Go to roar weight in grams

2) Iceman /tracks bidding on the series NEED to be up and running before they bid for series races. We have had to reschedule to many races because of track failures. (Last year the track problem was down south)!!!

3) tires: You want a certain tire contact the tire company and get samplies for testing. Then submit the tires to Mark to be tested !!!!
watch out your messing with the 13 time booger flicking champ soon to be 14 time champ if you keep it up!

Tony,
Dave Larry is a good friend of mine and I don’t like the way you made your post! I won’t post what I really think about you. I will be polite and only say that your ignorance of ROAR rules and enforcement is only surpassed by your driving skills !

Default Tire

I would really like to see a new "racing" tire for the series. The Xenon is a club racing tire that I found to have decent grip but I'd rather see a tire with more bite, which means you would only get 3 or 4 runs on them before they really fall off on performance. This is a true racing tire.

The scale that the series owns DOES NOT WEIGH IN GRAMS. Therefore we convert to ounces.

all TC 1420 grams = 50.08oz we went with 50.0 to make it easy

12th scale 730 grams=25.7oz we rounded it to 26.0 ounces.

pan car 930grams=32.8oz we rounded it to 33oz.

I know my opinions don't matter as I did not run enough races, and call me crazy, but why not a new scale?

Get off the scale thing. It's not a big deal. As for checking the ROAR card I did that with the up to date sheets of who was current and who was not. Maybe the RD could furnish the race director with a current list during sign up. These are just suggestions .
1) RCGT a real class
2) World GT a real class
3) Keep the Saturday club race and sunday state race schedule.
4) Novice class TC with a Novak 25.5 and Novak ESC (special deal from Novak). The motors can be either the SS or Ballastic.
