Here is Jeremy's new ride. With his RC10, my RC10 and Ruffy's RC10 we will almost have enough for a class. I have at least 2 more cars in the works for Josh and my youngest. I'm also working on a few for another racer that should be a great addition to the vintage scene.

We will be at PSL on April 17th with the dinosaurs. Bring what ya got and lets do some old school racing!! If I can get everything together in time I might even have my Pro Radiant out there running!!!

Your rc10 looks great. You should make the trip to RCHR, Waterbury CT for the Vintage offroad Nationals coming in September..

There were 3 RC10's racing in the stock (actually a super stock) class today. They qualified 1,2 and 4 and finished 1st and second (the third broke on a rediculous jump). Not only are they super cool to watch, they actually run pretty good too! I even ran my Pro Radiant today!

Traxxas never should have messed with that design.......... Rick Vehlow was the shiz with that car back in the early 90's. It was the best 2WD car they designed, the rest were terrible for racing.

Honestly, the cars of the past could run with the cars of today if setup and freshened enough I bet.

I think cars are redesigned more for the type of tracks of the current times more than for superior performance. Sure the new ones perform better on todays track, but does that make them better?

I wish I still had my Yokomo SE 4WD cars. Now those were a handful to maintain.

The lap times don't lie. Jeremy's RC10 with a 13.5 turned almost the same times as his RB-5 with an 8.5. The modern cars are easier to drive, and maybe that's the part that people like. The older cars are way more fun though. It's pretty cool to see a freight train of RC10's running around the track these days. Even the Pro Radiant was a blast and with a car that was kinda thrown together and not at all tuned, it didn't exactly set the track on fire like Josh with the B44, but it was way more fun to drive than the B44!!

Here's the stock A main from 04-17-10. Ruffy took the win with his RC10 and Jeremy finished 2nd.

Here's a video of the 1st run with the Pro Radiant. The car wasn't even close on the setup, but it will be!!!

Jeremy's car has an LRP 13.5. Mine and Ruffy's have 19t brushed motors, for now.

I use the B4 wheels on all my RC10's. Theres some modification involved though. You can also use the Thunder Tiger PD-8982 rear wheel. It's the same as the B2/B3 wheel and readily available.

The Radiant has an LRP 9.5. It also uses B4 rear wheels and uses the Kyosho 5029-W wide RB-5 front wheel. The wheel is modified slightly by drilling the center mounting hole for the Radiant front one way hubs.

The official cut off for vintage is 1994, or the end of the gold pan and birth of the composite cars like the B2. For us though it doesn't really matter since we run them with the regular stock class. We will be racing them this weekend in Daytona.

Wow! That thing just needs the KC lights, Window nets and the driver figure from the earliest kits and it would be retro vintage for sure.
