Default Seeking information about a new off-road track

A good friend wants to build a "Dirt" -off-road track for 1/10th electric only. He just want ideas about two types of surfaces.
He wants just a dirt - no clay track or possibly an astro turf lanes track. So whats your opinion of a dirt or astro turf outdoor electric only track?

Dirt isn't so good. Hard to maintain. Clay is the best way to go outside, although I would like to see a turf track. Where is he wanting to build?

You mean like euro. type tracks? It would be different & alot less maintenance.
