You probably get more response if you posted it on HobbyTalk or Mike Boylan's forum. Here I'll help you out http://snowbirdnationals.yuku.com/topic/2269/master/1/

if you pay my gas bill and promise to have 10 10.5/4cell racers in attendance....gas is a killer for a 300 mile club race.

THe track is ready for oval racing...a really nice track. We got scoring system available as well...just need to get racers, and what class we'll run, and then get racing going.
The more racers, the more goes in the pot, and top 3 get cash.

it's gonna be so damn hard...nothing against the track for sure..
hector, bob, rick and russell live down that way...you will be starting with a super small racer base...and no way can you count on the rest of us to travel that far with out knowing how many will show up....
oval is so screwed up with lipo and 4 cells and 21.5 17.5 and 10.5 and 13.5 motors the classes have gone in the dumpster of late...
I have it good up here in daytona...strickland and hobby world are less than 100 miles from my house and we get a good crowd of 10.5/4 cell racers...
i wish you guys the best of luck.....

Florida currently has 4 tracks that run oval on a regular basis.
Hobby World in Jacksonville, Strickland in Ormond Beach, MTR in Bradenton and Scott's Hobbies in Branford. The first three are flat asphalt track with Brandford a concrete tri-oval. Breakdown in classes are as follows:
HW: runs a weekly program but may be changing soon. 4c 27 turn stock, 21.5/lipo (our biggest class), 13.5, 10.5, Nastruck. 13.5, 10.5, Nastruck are a hit or miss depending who shows up.
Strickland: runs a once a month deal and they run 27turn stock, 21.5/lipo, 13.5, 10.5, nastruck, 19t 1/12. They get a pretty good turn out since HW don't race the same weekend and most HW racers head down there with some MTR guys making the trip.
MTR: runs a weekly program and has a variety of classes. Not real sure but mostly brushless.
Branford: runs every other week but only runs a 13.5 class and they have like 5-8 racers.
Most of the oval racers are running brushless. The real question is what type of BL motor. Most have 13.5 and 10.5. You will have to check with your locals as to what type of racing they are into. By the names Mother Focar mention sounds like 10.5 one 21.5 and Hector does he race

Thank you guys for the very helpful tips and ideas for classes. Good stuff, I'll be talking to Hector Garcia this week, and yesterday Bob Husted said he'll come out and help with the oval program as well and bring his buddies as well.
But like you guys said, choosing the right class is key, and we'll have to talk to racers down here and see what's the best way to go as far as that class is concerned.

another racer
i work with serialthrilla so he'll keep me up to date. i don't have a pan car (yet) but he will probably let me borrow one of his to fill out a race for the time being. uh, i hope i'm not volunteering him for anything he's not willing to do!
in the meantime i plan to drop by the track this weekend and take a look.
