What about 10.5BL being the new mod motor? My friend tell me this can happen with ROAR in 2009 also?
well how about keeping it open mod , there is no rule of not able to run a 10.5 in mod so what you are saying is to have a motor limit in mod?? if it helps any i ran a 13.5 in mod at the daytona state race
I say leave 10.5 as super stock and keep open mod (just my 4 cents)
if i recall i think that the 10.5 class was about a second slower than mod this weekend at kissimmee, yes 10.5's are just as fast in most tracks but not all tracks.
Tim P.: I'm all for lowering the weight...1450g sounds great, and similar to 5 cell nimh weight.
1 day racing is cool idea. Savings are big, and racing every 30 minutes would be cool...should keep everyone focused.
What about the mod motor situation? Will 10.5 be the only mod motor allowed like ROAR is speculating, or will 10.5 be included in the mod class?
as it is now you can run what ever motor you want no one is stopping you if you want to run a 10.5 in mod class, i think making the 10.5 the only "mod" motor is a big mistake
its going to be just like a few years ago when they had a 10turn limit in mod class, then comes the over gearing of motors trying to get the most out of them , we will probably be back to burning up motors and esc's.
