Psycho Nitro Blast (Indoor ‘round-the-clock race) Atlanta, GA Feb 1-3 ‘08
Get some sleep now, because you are going to need it for the Psycho Nitro Blast. Imagine a large indoor arena hosting a Nitro Off-Road race which will start on Friday with 24 uninterrupted hours of practice followed by 4 rounds of 10 minute qualifiers on Saturday which will run also run through the night. Then early on Sunday the race will proceed directly into the longer-than-usual mains. One hour mains for Buggy and Truggy, and 45 minutes each for Sportsman Buggy and Monster Truck. All other mains will be at least 10 minutes. Lots of door prizes. Lots of other surprises. The goal is to make this a race that you will look forward to year after year. Please get more details at the event website Psychonitroblast.com

My only question is what is the cash payout?

Confident are we Gene? Just kidding. There will be a good cash payout, but the amount is not yet finalized due to sponsor pledges. We will post it on the SGRID thread when we have it solid.
As for the timing of the mains.... The goal is to have qualifiers go as close to 24 hours as possible so that we are able to start the mains at somewhere between 7 am and 9 am on Sunday morning. Up to 325 entrants, we will have at least 4 qualifiers and we will have 3 is there are any more than 325 to 400.

It's not confidence, it is just I am going to try and support every cash payout and RC Pro race that I can in 2008 (and maybe make a few dollars while I have fun racing).

The Psycho Nitro Blast crew is pleased to announce that RC Driver
Magazine will be covering our event. RC Driver reporter and Team CEN
driver Andrew Smolnik will both cover the event on the scene and be
competing in the race. Good luck on both fronts Andrew.

What material is on the floor of that arena? Does it actually pack hard enough so the 8th scales don't get down to concrete?

Wholly cow! $60 and $75 per entry!
has there ever been an event in the south east with a worth while turn out when charging that much for entries?

Yep. Snowbirds. .... and you could fit that track inside this one about 4 or 6 times. ... and you will get much more run time on this track. ....and there is so much more than that. This is not your typical race. You will see that it was money very well spent.
