I send the race reports from my series to News websites where the whole world can read it if they like, not just the racers from FL.

What you people fail to understand is.... There have been several articles send in about the on road stuff happening with Port Charlotte’s Races and Forgas Races. I know for a fact that Gary has had and issue with Dawn dating back many issues about articles he has sent in.

This has nothing to do with “Off Road” the article was great, but at the same time Dave Larry send in articles about On Road and nothing was posted. This has happened several times this is why there is an issue. I’m not exactly sure how many times Dave has send articles but I am sure it’s more then once or twice.

The opposite is true in ROAR in general. The President is an on-road guy, so off-road gets left out sometimes. What works best in on-road does not work the best in off-road. ROAR needs reps from both classes. Just let your voices be heard in the elections if you want changes. This year the VP spot is open, and next year the region 4 director spot will be open.
we all know what good voting does...

What good is voting? When you vote someone in and they before taking, that job backs down. You would think the runner up would have the job.... but instead mysteriously someone else who was not even on the ballot was voted in..... seems to me like pure bull!!!

What a joke this is…. And to hear the reason why Gary wasn't given the spot is far more hilarious.

Yes it is. But doesn't everyone's eyes get hurt trying to find actual RC content and news and not drama and gossip?

Excellant idea...a one stop website with all of Florida's r/c racing from weekly club racing, state series, pop up races. Articles even better...no hassles from bias organizations or groups. A united R/C Florida racing website. It's a win win situation for all.

Here is the race report from Race 7 at Port Charlotte:

The final race of the 2006/07 FORGASS Series was held at a new track to the series. Charlotte R/C Raceway in Punta Gorda was the location. Friday the track opened at noon as a few racers wanted to get a jump on checking out this new track. However Mother Nature had other plans. So with the afternoon rain practice was washed out.

In the 1/10th Sedan class we had 39 drivers show up to test the new asphalt. After the 4 rounds of qualifying were done there were only 2 racers to turn 21 laps. The fastest time was recorded by Robert Maestrey with 21 laps in 5:13.07. D.J. Apolaro was a close 2nd with 21 laps in 5:14.42. Rounding out the top 5 was: 3rd was Danny Horta with 20 laps in 5:03.32, 4th was Austin Wolfe with 20 laps in 5:06.20 and 5th was Art Carbonell with 20 laps in 5:07.43. With the lap times being close the mains were going to be exciting to watch. In the D-Main the race was fun to watch. With 1 racer testing the walls to make sure they were tough. After the time expired it was Denise Burton-Clarke showing the way with 61 laps in 20:12.62, in 2nd was Jack “The Wall Tester” Ross with 43 laps in 18:45.47 and 3rd was Martin Johnson with 34 laps in 12:10.76. The bump up winner was Sean Clark with 62 laps in 20:19.20. The C-Main was also fun to watch as 9 of the 12 racers finished. With 1st place going to James Burrows with 67 laps in 20:00.21, 2nd was “Superstar” Billy Graham with 67 laps in 20:05.41 and 3rd was Greg Marrall with 65 laps in 20:06.74. The bump up winner was Gary Sholtys with 69 laps in 20:16.03. The B-Main was up and coming home 1st was Eduardo cabal with 90 laps in 25:13.20, 2nd was Chuck parsons with 88 laps in 25:04.63 and 3rd was Ralph Monteleone with 87 laps in 25:16.51. The bump up winner was Peter Breton with 91 laps in 25:08.91. The A-Main was expected to be a close race but 1 racer really lead from start to finish dominating the field. Danny Horta was the guy in this race. He can claim something that no one else can. He won the first A-Main at Charlotte R/C Raceway. He finished with 114 laps in 30:06.03. The rest of the A-Main finished like this: 2nd was Gianni Giorgio with 111 laps in 30:13.28, 3rd was Andrew Duperrouzel with 109 laps in 30:13.64, 4th was Peter Breton with 107 laps in 30:06.99, 5th was D.J. Apolaro with 106 laps in 30:03.99, 6th was Roniel Regalado with 90 laps in 30:10.66, 7th was Wayne Hinds with 89 laps in 30:21.44, 8th was Mark Harrison with 87 laps in 30:13.96, 9th was Art Carbonell with 84 laps in 30:09.32, 10th was Robert Maestrey with 49 laps in 14:12.34, 11th was Austin Wolfe with 36 laps in 11:47.83 and 12th was Luke Whitaker who blew his motor in practice so he did not start.

In the 1/8th Open Class 35 drivers entered this race. When the smoke cleared there were 2 drivers who did 23 laps. Paolo Morganti with his Serpent 960 was the fastest with 23 laps in 5:08.50. In 2nd was Chris Tosolini with 23 laps in 5:10.19. The rest of the top 5 look like this: Chuck Moon with 22 laps in 5:11.02, 4th was Joaquin DeSoto with 22 laps in 5:12.31 and 5th was Vince Tate with 22 laps in 5:13.11. The D-Main went off and it was Scott Andrews finishing with 71 laps in 20:04.90, Robert Burg finished a close 2nd with 71 laps in 20:05.57 and 3rd was Melanie Esser with 61 laps in 20:03.06. The bump up winner was Juan Ragusa with 73 laps in 20:04.35. In the C-Main Drew Schweitzer finished 1st with 77 laps in 20:07.29, 2nd was Juan Ragusa with 73 laps in 20:14.44 and 3rd was Shane Burnley with 72 laps in 20:05.55. The rest of the field finished this way: 2nd was Phillip Abed with 124 laps in 30:09.94, 3rd was Joe Sumasky with 120 laps in 30:07.55, 4th was Vince Tate with 120 laps in 30:11.24, 5th was Joaquin DeSoto with 110 laps in 30:02.12, 6th was Franco Ragusa with 110 laps in 30:08.73, 7th was Andres Abed with 103 laps in 29:52.90, 8th was Jim Sowa with 97 laps in 30:10.60, 9th was Chuck Moon with 79 laps in 19:38.05 and 10th was Chris Tosolini with 8 laps in 1:49.52.
