FDOS Race 5 5/20 @ SS Raceway (Tampa)
Wowweee 68 guys braved the awesome weather, threw it down and knocked it out on the high bite kitty litter at NewRed in Ocala.. Results/Points up at http://www.fldos.org , pictures w/ link to results on the http://www.newredhobbies.com site until next week. It was an awesome weekend to pull a double. RC PRO and FDOS! I think every race day has been spectacular weather wise. I don't think you could ask for better.
The Stock Car guys were out in force! They are some of the toughest cars to handle. Thanks to those guys for joining the Series this year.
Race 5 is at Ronnie Setser's Customs SS Raceway in Downtown Tampa. South of 275 on Dale Mabry. http://www.ronniesetser.com/ . With Ronnie having 2 tracks now, we're not sure which one we'll be on just yet. Flat or banked? well we've done the banked so who knows.. Registration/Tech begins at 9am, Racing around 11am. 3 Rounds of 4 min heats, 2 man bump ups in the mains as usual.
While I have this opportunity I'd like to once again thank the guys who helped with the track for these events. I would also like to thank some of the racers who come from far away for these events like Mike Seymour, Bill Kellum, David Butts and Steve Pedano.. Its always great to see old acquaintances. One of these days I'll get to actually do some of the racing against ya - or more like tail behind..
