The race flyer and entry form is out under harryshobbies.org .There will be NO Triple A mains. Normal Qualifying Not Qual Points. Roar legal motors for all classes.
Friday Practice
Saturday Qualfiying
Sunday Mains
for the 19t classes needs 10 drivers to make a class.

Myself and a few people were wondering why there are only 1st 2nd and 3rd place awards being handed out in the A main's at a level 3 event,shouldnt it be everybody in the A main's.

Dennis that is all that is required for trophies(T.Q. and 1st-3rd). Yes it's to make it easier on those wanting to host the event. The 1-10th in a main is now for the nationals.Harry just posts on his website. I'll be working with Harry to tweak whatever we need to tweak to make this an good race. Thank's for the quick responce, why does everything have to be the bare minimum these days ,when I told you that I would be your Offroad Director in 2002 I told you that I was going to make alot of changes to the Offroad side of our region one of them being that there would be awards given to everyone that makes the show,,,( A Main's )http://community.webshots.com/photo/...79976076SCiyuH that was a picture of the top 5 in nitro monster truck at the 2005 nitro regionals.
I guess what I am trying to show here is when you only put forth minimum effort you will get a bare minimum turn out, and I think that the rule for awards in the roar rule book needs to be changed.

Dennis the rules for region races have changed. Unfortunately Florida is not the average region .What I mean is We race series and everywhere over the state.The other regions struggle to get these races and the turnouts are lighter. In order to get more people going to them they have changed the requirements. Just having someone from a different region competiting has changed over the last few years.Now they can and win the title.They can even compete again in their regional only not in the class the competed in the other region. I hope I explained that good enought?
Now for next year we could make a requirement for our regionals. The down side is the cost for the club or track hosting the event might be scared off and won't bid on a race.I know how much was spent for the trophies and medallions were for this race.Everything is more expensive now. I'll talk with everyone next weekend and see what we can come up with.

Also I will have the current ROAR list at the track. If you are from out of region could you contact both your region director and myself. You'll also have to show your current ROAR card as we will not have the list for outside of our region.

It's 8 days and counting . It should be a good race and I be able to meet the off-road electric racers.

The quick race report:
Rain only friday evening around 7pm,otherwise sunny and hot.Saturday they had 4 rounds of qualifying and sunday the mains. The race results will be posted on Harrys site today I believe along with pictures. The race went with out a hitch with plently of time in between. Thanks to everyone that made the trip maybe next year? Now that most have seen the track and met the people running the event more can make the trip up to race in Jacksonville.Now I got to put faces to the names I've seen or talked to over the phone for the last few years.
