Default !/8 scale

As a long time user of Fantom in 1/10 EP offroad, and having just built a new RC8Te I was wondering, (hopeing) if Fantom had any plans to produce a range of 1/8 motors and larger (4s) battery packs. I currently run Neu motor with the Fantom 40c cells, but would love to be able to run full Fantom gear in my 1/8th.

Hello,

Thank you for your post and interest in Fantom products.

As Cowboy mentioned above, yes we are working on 1/8 brushless motors. We are still a few months away from releasing them, but the good news is that we will have 4S lipos within about 1 to 2 weeks. We are trying to get everything posted on our web site by this weekend. We will have 4300/25C/4S, 5400/25C/4S, 4200/40C/4S, and 5000/40C/4S packs.

Check out our web site by Monday and we should have everything listed.

Thanks,
Jeff

Ok Jeff and the guys.
It's been a few months, so where are we on the 1/8ths?
I've just blown up 2 Neu's and am thinking a cheap ass Hobbywing system until my beloved Fantom sells me a 1/8 motor.
Please tell me they wont be long..... PLEASE!
Darren

Hi Darren,

Thank you for your message.

We are running behind with our 1/8 motors, basically because it is taking longer than expected with testing our new 1/10th motors. We have to get the 1/10th motors finalized before we can move on to the 1/8 motors. I'm sorry I can't give you better news right now.

At this time we are pointing customers to the Tekin Rx 1/8 systems. These systems are top notch.

All the best,
Jeff

Thanks Jeff.
I must say I'm suprised to see a quality manufacturer like Fantom basically recommending another supplier, but it instills me with confidence that the Tekin 2000kv system I just ordered for my truggy seems to meet with your approval.
Please try and keep us informed because as I already pointed out, because of the quality of your 1/10s I will be the first inline for what I know will be the best 1/8 motor on the market!

I thought I was on your mailing list Jeff.
Guess I'll have to buy something else and make sure I'm on it....
