Look at my site. It's geared towards the intermediate rc'er. It has no graphics, no design, just a bunch of data in a chart. And look! Ever week people post setups. Look at the latest entry. The battery pack and performance description is detailed. People get my site! Google analytics shows several people searching my site in google and typing the url in the address bar. It's really amazing that people actually understand what my site is about and are able to look into the data and use it. There is hope for humanity after all.
