Hypothetical scenario....medium sized track with super high bite and must wind out first gear to optimize laptime

High output 9 port engine (non tuned say 35 plus with 2052) running on 25% fuel provides fast lap time however regardless of tuning unable to make runtime for 5 minutes and must pit in qualy

Only way to make time is to detune engine with (35 plus with 2015) pipe and running 16% fuel. Laps times drop about .2-.3 sec but now able to make 5 minutes. This setup is marginal as motor has to be run on the limit to make time and finding that slightly higher elevation along with low nitro and borderline lean leads to short bearing and engine life.

7 port engine (R1wcs 2052) with power pipe able to make run time on 25% fuel but yields slower lap time at slightly less as detuned 9 port engine. Motor seems to lack top end on straight and short chutes but has good performance off corner.

In this hypothetical scenario would a modified/tuned 7 port engine be worth investing in a compromise between between both scenarios listed above.

I am trying to get some addtl info before I make a 500$ experiment ha!

Question: I have a Novarossi Sports Edition N21 7T and currently using the C7TF plug

Now is it true that i could use the OS Plug RP7 style plug? The reason id like to use the plug is for its reliablity.

hi Guys,

i've been asking this question for quiet a long time and got confused because of so many different answers. now, a Pro opinion is needed please to confirm what bearing to go with. i tried bocas on my Siim motor and they dont seem to last long, not as long as the stock sirio ones:weird:. just installed TKOs on my friend's JP eagle and they are still holding good.

so, what do you guys think??

at first i was target on a RB C9 but i found this Classico 9 only 2/5 price of a C9 but without pipe set, so let see :D

ok,

i have two assembled pistons in my hand (from two different manufacturers).

one piston is assembled with the piston pin hole (opening) facing the exhaust side

the other piston is assembled with the piston pin hole (opening) facing the carb side

is there a right / wrong way?

the manufacturer exploded diagrams do not put any real emphasis on it, and there is no detail or mention of it.

some say to face the opening of of the piston pin towards the carb so it carrys the oil better

some say to face it towards to exhaust port to eliminate build up.

what are you thoughts?

if it makes no difference, why is one end of the piston pin opened, and the other closed?

Anybody knows anything about this pipe? The no is 2037 and its cheaper than Nova pipes. Here's a link to it ATS 2037 pipe

Yesterday finally got to break in engine after running about 1litre (0.22Galons of fuel) the engine temps always crept up to 260F (135C) Air temps on the day Hot 37 degrees

Plug Nova TURBO -C6TF
Exhaust Pipe: Novarossi EFRA 2052 Inline Pipe For .21
Novarossi .21 Onroad Non Conical Manifold Med

Nitro X Fuel 25%

The problem i think might be engine is still tight, once warm i can turn it over with pinch but soon as you want to lean it out those temps get raised up to the 260F

But when you run it rich it just doenst like it or struggles to run...
Overall i have done about 6-7 tanks

What are your tips on the Nova Break-Ins and tunning, is there a fine line with the Nova's and as the engine gets more warn in the engine temps will come down and then the leaning can occurr with out over rates temps.

Im in possession of a Rossi Black Pixie .12 motor. Something i havent heard of in years. And nothing i know the specs of. Im helping out a friend who bought this motor used. I tore down the engine to find 3 ports intake and 1 exhaust. Head shims totalling 0.3mm. What shim clearance do we need to run 20 percent fuel? What glowplugs can work with this engine? Can a os#8 work? It came with an Odonnell 77 standard plug. Anyone know the oem needle settings? Any help would be appreciated.

what pipe best fit for os 12tz spec2?

I want higher top speed,,now i use hec 5mm

The engine manual shows settings for the high speed needle but not the midrange needle.
Does anybody know what the setting is for tuning.

Hi are RB's still made in novarossi factories? Are the engines same in every market or will they vary from market to market?
