this seems really simple mabey I am over thinking it? If I want to raise my ride height one milimeter to gain some ground clearance. or even just for tuning am I better to just crank down the collars or just go to a little heavier spring? just another tuning option?

I was looking around for answers when I decided to just join and ask the questions I needed. I have had a few truck when I was younger but never raced. Ive raced fourwheelers since I was 13. Now that im in college I cant risk getting hurt and missing school so I think this will fill my racing needs. I have bought a few RC magazines and have seen the buzz about the short course trucks. Since in college I dont have a ton as in thousands of dollars to put into a race truck.I guess what im asking is what kind of truck can I get that will allow me to race as much as possible and maybe even have some bigger event racing because I love the idea of going head to head with the best. Any information would be greatly appreciated

Thanks Cory

Hi all,

New to this forum have been into R/C for quite a few years, garage holds a Savage ssx with heaps of hop ups/HPI Wheely King converted into a Crawler,& lastly a Losi 1/10 Comp Crawler.

In the Losi i have a set of 4200mah 7.4v lipo batts. My Question is-
These two batts are wired in "series" which means double the volts and the mah stays the same.(presently charging the combind pacs to 7.4v). Can i wire it so they are "parallel" which means double the mah and the volts stay the same. ? Are these batts 7.4v each or are they 3.7v each ? (they have 7.4v on each batt).
I have specs & pics below

Specifications:
ROAR Approved
Battery Type: Lithium Polymer (LiPO)
Configuration: 2s2p
Weight: 9.17 oz.
Dimensions: 23 x 46.2 x 69mm
Charge Rate: 3C (12.6A)
Continuous Discharge: 30C (126A)
Min Discharge Volts Per Pack: 6V
Max Burst Rate: 60C (252A)
Max Volts Per Cell: 4.2V
Max Volts Per Pack: 8.4V
Watt Hours: 31.08

Could someone please help me ?

Thanks

Ok, so I have this Associated SC10 truck, and it had adjustable camber all around, and adjustable toe in the front. And I have absolutely no idea how I'm supposed to properly align the wheels.

From my reading, I think I want about 1 degree of negative camber all around, and just a little bit of toe in on the front wheels. Is there some sort of kit cheaper than the $150 one most people seem to have? Because without it, I'm just eyeballing it.

Sure it drives straight and looks 'about right' but I'm hoping there's a better way to do this. Suggestions?

Hi Guys,

Is there a prefered way of charging new nimh?

1. When new, should I slow charge them, or can I just charge at a higher rate?
2. At a race meet, what should I do to top them up before/after a race?
3. when should I discharge or cycle?

Any info would help.

Hello,
I have a E-Revo (1/8) with a brushed motor (12V) and use 2 2S LiPos. I am not thinking of going to a brushless motor, Traxxas seems to recommend their Castle Creation's Mamba Monster Brushless System which costs about $300. Is this good or what are the alternatives? I believe that the more expensive part is the ESC, looks like good one costs about $150 and more, e.g. from Tekin RX8 or from LRP Novak etc.?
I do not care about the maximum speed like 70mph or more, I am not sure it is possible to handle that speed on a track (at least I can not), but I would like to have more speed than now and it should be reliable.

2200KV means that the motor provides 2200 rpm per Volt, e.g. 2200* 11 V etc.? How important is the othyer number e.g. 8.5T

I appreciate every help
Thank you
