The racing continues here in San Diego, formally known as Pound It Raceway. We will be continuing racing at the same location,

We will be racing twice a month on Saturdays, track will be open for practice at 8:30am until 10:30am promptly. The track then will be re-sprayed before the race begins at 11:00am.
We use the AMB transponder set-up and have handouts. Personal are preferred but whatever you need. The track is set-up with the Road Rails system and some fire hose. The dimensions are 100'x50'. Items needed to bring are: Generator for power,Table, Chair, Pop up Tent, and a race car.

We follow the rules very strictly here. If you are found in violation of one of the rules you will be asked to leave. Rules are as follows:

Track Rules:
1. Have fun.
2. Be respectful.
3. Use staging lane.
4. No driving in the pits.
5. Pick up your trash when you leave.
6. Smoking only allowed in Smoking area and trashcans must be used.
7. Try to keep from walking on the racing line unless marshaling a car.
8. No Drinking or Drugs.
9. If you damage the track during practice, make sure it gets fixed.

Racing Rules:
1. Do you turn marshaling.
2. Return handout transponders.
3. Let Faster drivers go (During practice and racing).
4. Be ready to race when your race is up (1 min. grace only in mains).
5. No stopping on the straight.
6. If your car is stuck/stopped on the track for any reason, call it out to let the other drivers know.
7. No going the wrong direction on the track.
8. No using reverse at any time.

There will be a Short Course Truck Class (Slash-SC10) we ask that your truck be throughly cleaned before going onto the track. And PLEASE no diving in the pits! This goes for everyone not just the trucks, the track crew will spend there time cleaning and prepping the track before every race for proper traction for all.

The first race will be on December 5th then two weeks following and so forth. So lets all have fun while still being competitive and keep the track going here in San Diego. Most of all lets have FUN!!

Alright Psycho Brethren, Ollie and I have broken out of the mental institution and you better get ready for the 2010 Psycho Nitro Blast. Lots of new things for this years event including a new format that will allow for guys to easily run 2, 3 or even 4 classes without loosing your mind, even though thats the goal.

And whats this? The Psycho Nitro Blast going ELECTRIC? Thats right! Bring those 2wd SCT (CORR) trucks and 1/8 Electric Buggies and run them on the BIGGEST INDOOR TRACK on the east coast.

Oh yea, and here is the new format so get those truggy's and buggies signed up!


Thursday, March 4th

Practice:

Gates open at 7am, 34 hours of open practice, practice ends at 5pm Friday afternoon. That’s right, 34 hours of practice!!!!!

2WD SCT class will have open practice for 45 minutes at the designated times listed below. (the 45 min practice session may be increased depending on entries).

Thursday 11am 3pm 7pm 11pm Friday 10am 2pm
**We will be watering the track throughout thursday practice so expect small breaks during practice for track maintenance.

Friday, March 5th

Practice / 1st round of Qualifying:
Practice ends at 5pm Friday afternoon.
Drivers meeting and the posting of heats will be held at 5:30pm Qualifying will start at 6pm and will run until the 1st round is complete. Expected finish time will be around 1am.
After the 1st round of qualifying is complete the track will be open for practice all night until 7am Saturday morning. That’s another 6 hours of practice!

Saturday, March 6th
2 rounds of qualifying:
Qualifying will start at 9am and will run until complete. Expected finish time will be 9pm. Track will then be shut down and prepped for the Sunday mains.

Nitro and Electric qualifying format will be as follows:
3 rounds of 10 minute heats. Mandatory pit stop required for Nitros only!!!! Qualifying points will be in effect with a re-shuffle after round 1

2WD SCT qualifying will be as follows:
3 rounds of 10 minute heats. Qualifying points will be in effect with a re-shuffle after round 1

Hard to believe that the first race was way back in 1987, I had all my hair back then!!.

As always, we strive to work with our community and we hope to make Christmas better for those less fortunate. This year the TFT will be held Decmber 19, 20, 2009. This will allow racers from CP, OCRC, and GLARCRC to compete at each othrs events in the month of December.

This coordinated effort by all of the clubs/tracks will spell a greater amount of toys at each race and that is what these events are really about. As President of GLARCRC, I urge all the clubs, tracks, and racers to support as many of the TFT races as possible and even if U cannot race, bring a toy.

This will be a lot of fun, great competetion, and will show the rest of the RC community that So. Cal really cares!!.

The 2009-10 DRC Winter Series is kicking off this December at Delta R/C in Antioch, CA...Racing will be indoors in the covered arena offroad track!! Weather is NOT an issue!!

It's that time of the year again folks! Last year, we had a whoppin' 32 heats and over 190 entries! Because of the big turn out, we decided to make this a 2 day event. So mark your calendars! Dec. 12 and 13th!!!! Lets end this years racing with a BANG! As all the other years, (11th one!) all the toys are donated to the City's Single Mom Program, so lets give back to the city that gave us such awesome racing! This is the longest running Toys 4 Tots On-Road electric race in Southern Cal. Lets keep the tradition and come race with us! With the New Location, This should be the best Toys 4 Tots Ever!

OC Circuit and SK Motion teamed up to give Edgewood Middle School in West Covina, Ca a taste of some REAL off road racing! Edgewood Middleschool has an after school program that allows kids to race rc cars once a week at their very own off road track. OC Circuit and SK Motion Organized a "competition style" race for these middleschoolers so they can experience what it is like to be in a real RC race with transponders, PA system, some tunes, and TROPHIES!!!! RC Driver's TONY PHALEN covered the event. How cool is it for these youngsters to get an experience like this AND be in an RC magazine??? Let the smiling faces speak for themselves!

well i am in the process of building a track next to my house. check out the land on google earth. it is to the south of the house with the green roof

it is private land that i used to own but sold be for the market crashed
the new owner has no plans to build in this horrible economy. so i built a little back yard track out of view from the street, it is open to any electric vehicles(because of neighbors) but only on friday sat. and sunday. will have pics up soon. now remember this is a backyard track so it is not perfect but really fun for SC's, 1/10, and even 1/8 electric. the lap times are around 20 sec with 1/8. if you plan on stopping by let me know before hand so i can prep it and water. i will continue to make this track better because i run on it almost every morning. with a few helping hands we could make it more than a quarter acre big. it is a hard sand based track so hole shots work best when watered.

When I heard they were building a off road track here in Modesto, I got excited. I am hoping that I get my equipment soon so that when they finish building the track, I will be ready.

They are building the track out at Funworks on the corner of Claribel and Coffee road.
