I have just bought a cheap electric boat from maplins-it is the ep racing boat. It has twin 380 motors and currently goes about 15 mph. I want to make it faster but i dont want to spend more than £20. Can anyone help?

I have an old Miss Budweiser type boat I got in a trade. The hull is plastic. It is setup for double motors. But was thinking of just going with a single motor. Would like to use 2s lipos. What would be the best motor esc combo. Was thinking of using an airplane esc and inrunner motor. Seems like you can pick them pretty cheap. Want to get the most out of it with out tearing the thing apart.

I got a old boat here that was made by a professional boat builder (normal ski boats) and he built a model for his son. I now own it and it did have a .21 notro motor in it but motor had issues so i am now converting to brushless.


Anyways I had another bought rtr boat and also noticed on all new boats the props r surface piercing.

My boat is designed so shaft comes out under the boat like a typical ski boat.

Will this affect it at all? I know i not gunna get the same rooster tail etc but i not worried.

how will this affect motor selection. i assume it is gunna be harder to turn having no air in the mix so will i need a higher kv motor to give it better torque?

Any advice?

If your "seriously" interested in custom paint for your your floater than i may be the one your looking for. these are paint and vynal. the boats were basecated with only the finest ppg primers and color matched bases. the decals were placed on the boats and then completely covered in clear coat. shiny as a mirror.

i am not cheap but you can see the results. commense drooling!!

today i picked up a sv27 and would like some advise from anyone with experience about this craft. i want to run lipo but don't want to ruin any of my expensive reedy 35c packs due to the no LVC on the sv27 so i picked up some duratrax dtx 4600 nimh batteries , will these be ok or are they a bit heavy for the boat ,i needed them anyway for mini copper racing this winter so no big deal if they wont work for the boat .any suggestion for batteries in the sv27 or maybe just add a lipo safe cut off and run lipo .also what prop is best and how to seal it up good so as not to get it wet on the inside thanks

Like brand new hull, cannot find a scratch on it. Just dont want it sitting around, Will let is go for 65 shipped obo. It will come with the motor but its out of the hull and in pieces, pull start is missing. Pm for pics
