just bought it used on this site and when i got it didnt work.

thought it might be the battery so changed that still not working.
everytime i wiggled the wires to the motor it would jumpo (work ) but stop again. also noticed when i unpasked it the motor smells burnt not to good of a sign. somethings wrong with this set-up.

so after disconnecting the motor a few times i noticed that the terminal for the motor (yellow) on the esc was a little lose. had to be a bad soldiering job. figure i had to get inside the esc to look closer at it. before i pulled it apart i plug the wire back in one more time. this time the terminal came out on the end of the connector. opened it and it had to be the problem. resoldiered it and put back together. works in forward but no reverse. tried all three program for the esc and nothing is working to get the reverse to work again.

just wondering if it would be the motor or is the esc switch from forward to reverse probaly bad.

has this happened to any body else beside me.

taken with my cell so not the best quality!
I am getting back into rc, and I got my good old M8 out. Issue is the battery doesnt seem to be holding charge. The battery in it is a
Sanwa S8N-7D NiCd 9.6v 700mAh.
Currently just using a small "plug into wall" charger but I think that is doing more damage then good.

I was thinking about connecting it to my battery charger and doing a few charger/discharge cycles through it.

So my question is, what amp should I charge it at??
and what amp should I discharge at??
What voltage should I discharge to??

Its been a while so I am a little rusty......
Thanks for your help.

Hey guys need a little help on some charger issues....

Im looking to get a new charger to charge my Lipo's. I have been looking at the Turnigy chargers they seem to have the capability of the higher end chargers at a decent price. I will be charging mostly 2s lipos for my 1/10 offroads. Im not looking to have to buy the charger and then a balancer and then a power supply i would like to find one that comes with atleast a deans lead and a balancer and have no issue with buying a power supply if need be.
Im not really on a budget but dont want to spend 200+ either, I will be charging Yeah Racing packs anywhere from a 4000 up to 6000. If you guys can try and lead me in the right direction i would appreciate it, and it can be any style charger i just have been looking at the turnigys.

Thanks
Mike

Looking for user reviews of Tx Radios.

Please don't hold back. This is for a user that desires good feel, A.B.S. and low weight on left wrist, which was shattered in a accident.

Found myself staring at the M11x and drooling. Need user thoughts before dropping that kind'a cash. This is for racing electrics... maybe moving into 1/8 scale off-road in spring.

Best A.B.S.???

Synthesized vs. Spektrum?????????????????

A) Futaba
B) KO
C) JR Z-1
D) Airtronics - M11 or M11x
E) Spektrum - DX3s or DX3r
F) ETC.

Thanks in advanced for your advice and insight.
