Hi, I'm new to helis. I got a Heli-max novus on trade and tried to fly it :lol::ha:. Any who, I was at the LHS buying new main rotor blades when the guy told me the pin through the headblock was too wobbly and it would be unstable (making it VERY difficult to fly). It has the aluminum headblock on it and you can wobble the "pin" quite a bit. He said something is assembled wrong, or missing. I've taken it apart and the hole is elongated. Looks like it's supposed to be like that. Any advice please?

I get asked what radios I use and what other people should get ALOT. So I figured I would come here and make a great reccomendation for a radio to anyone looking to step up there game and radio arsenal.

this radio carries a little bit of a price tag but for a 9 channel radio it is actually pretty cheap and does everything you would need and more. It carries a street price of $390 it does 2.4GHz/PPM/QPCM modulation which I will explain next.

Its called the HITEC aurora 9. I will not go into to many specs about the radio but will point out the one MAJOR advantage of the radio. It uses a module in the back for 72 or 2.4. Also the 72 radio is synthisized in the radio which means no crystals ever. you can use virtually every 72 rx ever mae by any brand as the radio also does single and dual conversion as well as pos and neg shift. it stores it in the memory after you program the transmitter for that particular rx.

so say you have a couple spektrum planes, you pop in the module and go to the moel name and you are ready to go, and say you have a couple of planes that you have not switched yet, just pop in the spektum pro, go to that models name and you are ready to go, simple.

the other big factor is it is lipo ready and 2s-3s switchable.

so if you are looking for a serious sport radio or just want the best, check out the aurora, at a fraction of the price of other 2.4 systems with more features and the ability to fly your old rx's you cant go wrong.

OK, before you say it i will be the first to admit it. I did something dumb I bought a blade 400 and I have never had a heli or a plane. It was a great deal $150 for dx61 rtr heli alumin upgrades and spares couldnt resist. Now I need to learn how to fly the dang thing. Whats a good flight sim to learn on. Thanks for your help.

I'm wondering if someone can help me with this. I've had to replace the main and inner shaft on my co-axial Apache and it seems I'm missing something and can't figure it out. The heli lifts off and goes into a spiral type of pitch maneuver before it becomes totally unstable and crashes. It doesn't spin left to right or vice versa where you would adjust the trim, but it seems something's not right with the stabilizer or perhaps I'm using a gear shaft with the wrong amount of teeth? I even went an extra step and installed a Comanche stabilizer, but problem persists. I've swapped the shafts into my other heli to see it would change but same thing occurs.

Any input kindly appreciated.

ok so I baught 2 and a buch of parts from a guy my brother knows. He says if ya plug the controler into the tv via the s-video cable you can have a simulator. So I did this went from my radiot to my tv pushed the trainer button, and nothing. Is there some kinda trick or do you need to run it throught a dvd player first.

I have a blade cp with a ccpm transmitter.
