If I don't race in the local tracks, is it worth it to buy the best cars like trf415 or t2, or any other cars beside tt01? I think I will run the car on streets and parking lots because I don't see any tracks around where I live... or should I just play the off-road, so i can run it almost anywhere?

Upt o u weather u go on or off road but if u are only bashing them u don't need the best equipment. If u want on road go with a TA-05 cheap and very durable. As fo offroad I can't help u.

for off road, I don't see much fun.
but does ta05 do a better job than tt01 on streets and parking lots?
and sometime, there are leaves, and is it ok for the ta05?

off-road is better than on-road,

in on road, u have to be a serious and scrap

but in off road if u have the right tire set-up and a decent motor, you could win against Adam Drake or some big guy like him,

but in on-road u have soooooo much to worry about, tires, body, springs, etc..

but in off road its more about drving, not a set-up
(not that caster and the like dont matter, but in off road it matters less than in on-road)

i have a XXX-S, and its just too much to worry about when i go out just to race my step-dad

i say stick with off-road, and buy a 05 and a SS5800 with some PVC tires, drifting is funer than racing and cheaper on tires,

for me, off road is less fun because there are less set up, besides, I don't really like to make the car dirty.
and I also like to drift, but dunno how

if you dont/can't race, go get a truggy and take it to a bmx track and bash the crap out of it... for me that is boring but better than electric onroad at the netball courts. you may as well be flicking a light switch.

i have both on and off road. a rdx and a b4. i love em both. in the summer with nothing else to do i beat the crap out of my b4. i have not broken it yet. and for serious racing i use my rdx. its up to you , if you want to race or play. Mark G, i travel about 100 miles just to race in the winter, and about 50 in the summer. get over it.

well, I don't really like to travel hundreds of miles just to run the car.
1st it wastes time while traveling, then I have to pay to run the car.

To answer your original question:

No.. if you're bashing DON't get a top of the line car. Why? Because they're tuned much harder. As a result, if you crash into anything, chances are you'll need to start replacing parts. These cars are designed to go FAST on a track. Little stones/sticks etc WILL quickly ruin belts and gears.

Oh course, the more you pay, the faster the car and more responsive it will be. The cars that race in MODIFIED easily hit around 80Km/h on many tracks.

As for off-road... no. There aren't really any kits that have the scale look that you want. Some "rally" kits can go offroad, and still look like a sedan. (Eg. subaru imprezza) but they can only handle very little bumps. Ie. can't drive off your kerb.

If you're bashing, stick with a cheap kit.

Untill you have a buddy to race against, you'll be fine. But it does get old if you're by yourself. If you have time, go see a race at a track. It's hard not to get bitten by the track bug.

Lots of set-up, tuning and funky stuff to play with, and the cars are FAST...
