Default Tamiya M-07 Concept

Support your local hobby shop.
My hobby shop has 6 kits in stock
-1. Lol.

Any suggestions on starting the build?
According to the instructions, seems some of the parts from past kits will fit the M-07..,

not much carries over from prior M05/M03.

-SpurGear
-SpurGear Bearings
-Shock Cylinders/Caps
-Wheel Hexes
-Diff bearing at the Gearbox (15x10x3)

... are about the only things that carryover, just thinking off the top of my brain..

-Has new axle length (same as regular Tamiya Sedan)
-Uses smaller 'Sedan' size axle bearings
-Has new Suspension Geometry (arms, knuckles and hubs.. Front and Rear)
-Uses true Camber Links Front and Rear (you technically can use the Rear Camberlink and Steering Links from previous models assuming you adjust the length for new geometry)
-New Body Posts
-New Battery HoldDown design
-You can use the M05 Steering Drag Link, if you use the 'longer' Tamiya ballcups from their OffRoad buggies

hope this help..

Thanks!!
I see it used the same diff as a ta06
So that's interchangeable
A lot of options with the shocks.. just might have to add the longer ballcup
Aluminum servo saver from the 05 looks to be the same

Too bad not a lot of carry over parts from M05 to M03. Hey Al... hope to see you soon. I'll probably pick up a M07 soon. Although not sure when I can even get out to race it.

You can't carry over a lot of parts when so much is changed and improved upon.

It sure looks like a major improvement..

Has anyone played with the wiring, and batteries?
It looks like the chassis is in the way for bullet plugs

Probably better to move this chat over to the main Mini Cooper thread.
No point having two thread with essentially the same topic.

It would make sense if it was a Mini Cooper, but it's not.
Unfortunately it's a end of a era.Something I'm told due to licensing.
I'm told that We're not even allowed to use Cooper bodies anymore during TCS racing.

M07 use regular length shocks. You'll need the longer shock shaft to make mini size shocks work.

Any mini body with medium and long wheelbase. The short (210 mm) is not possible on this chassis, at least at the moment.
