I'm going to try the Mazda body. Long wheelbase

There must've been a new influx of US M07 stock this week because I've been watching prices online for the last two weeks. It started out around $229 and only available from eBay resellers, then moved to about $180 from major stores, and now it's $149 almost everywhere. Glad I didn't buy one sooner.

No point having two thread with essentially the same topic.
Tamiya mini cooper
That makes no sense. The M-07 should have its own thread.

It is a bummer that we lost one wheelbase with this new version. How common or uncommon are 210mm bodies?

Where are you seeing them for $150?

But having TWO threads talking about the exact same car DOES make sense? Really?...

When I posted that there were several sources on eBay and Amazon, as well as Horizon Hobby all in stock at $149. I bought one from RCBoyz on eBay for that price, but it looks like everyone went out of stock again. I guess you have to catch it on the stock cycle before prices go back up.

Al you will find a lot more info on the Mini Forum that Tony Gray mentioned previously!
They already have them built on there as well as the guys already discussed the chassis
problem you're about to experience!

I can kinda see both sides, where having a thread for the M05 and another for the M07, particularly with it being a different design. But then how many threads would there be if every model had it's own..?

There is no two sides. The Tamiya Mini Cooper thread has been the one that everyone uses since 2002 when it was first started. It covers ALL M-chassis (mainly FWD) and is probably the single biggest repository of m-chassis advice in the world.

I'm going to start with 2.5 million silicone gravity in the front diff.
It's great that they are sealed now.

I was thinking the other thread was an M05 thread. Since it's a Mini Cooper thread and not specifically for the M-05 I see your point. I concede.

Darn. $150 is a steal considering the M05 Pro and Race are more money. I'll be looking for them to come back in stock. Thanks for the info!

I find having information on the M03, M04, M05, and sometimes M06 on a single thread on RCTech to be a disadvantage, given the limited search capabilities. The thread has grown too large and unwieldy.

Many other brands have a separate thread for each chassis type, and I like that. For instance, if I need info on my Awesomatix A700, I go to that particular thread, and don't have to wade through posts that are specific for the A800.

Other threads combine many different chassis in one thread. One example is the CRC 1/12 scale chassis. I'm never sure if the information there is applicable to the chassis I have-- the Alter Ego-- or only applies to the WC, or the Xti, or all, or... ad nauseum.
