I got a medium size paint scraper / spatula and glued a couple of pieces of sanding disks to either side. One side using a rough dist, the other a smoother disk.

Use the rough side to round, and the smooth side to clean up the surface and get rid of the fuzz.

Plain 200 grit sandpaper works great.
