Staying in San Marcos which is about 25 mins from the track is your best bet. Food everywhere, to include civilization.

The real question is there a Krystals anywhere near the track? Whataburger and in-n-out dont hold a candle to a Krystal or a pup.

All this burger talk, however it is more important that you guys hit up the Legandary Torchy's Tacos. Don't leave Texas without making a trip into Austin to get some one of the nights you are down here.

And of course, get some real Mexican tacos in the area as well. I am pretty sure any taqueria in the area should have some solid Pastor tacos. Authentic pastor is awesome down here.

Are more people planning to sign up for this thing? the off road nats had a wait list. Seems like a nice facility and location, I'm not sure why more aren't already registered.

Unless they know it will fill up, on-road racers will wait until the last minute.

Also remember this is opening weekend for college football. Restaurants near downtown Austin will most likely be very full on Friday and Saturday evening. Could also be traffic in the morning headed north on I35 towards downtown since kickoff is 11am. I know there will be a large Maryland contingent invading 6th street Friday evening (Maryland vs. texas).

If you're still on the fence then go. Track and team that run it are awesome.

@Rick Hohwart - fond memories of the Peak Performance race in Phoenix. The 19quad you built helped me finish 5th at the NORCCA nats in Vegas in 6-cell 12th mod.
