Still waiting on our flyer but if anyone is in the area and wants some track time with a lot of the guys that will be at the Nats, we will be hosting our last state series race at our track on June 3rd & 4th. This is not the Nats warm up race but an opportunity to get a big race in at our track before the Nats warn up race.

Sign up here. Limit 100 entries!

25.5 is getting huge here. The motors with the matching IR makes for some awesome races. This past Sunday was a prime example of that. All it takes is one bad corner line, not even crashing and you can go from 1st to 5th real fast. I have never seen racing so fun and challenging. Its a lot of work running a train of cars looking for a place to pass cleanly.

For you out of towners, it will be really, really hot. Expect 170+ deg asphalt temps unless a front blows in early. Which I doubt. I have an EZup with UV blocking and I highly recommend one. There is easily a 20deg difference vs one without it. bring lots of hydration stuff. Lockhart TX is the closest town 15 miles away and they have everything to eat there. Including some awesome TX BBQ! Arguably some of the best in Texas.

That's a good one! Couple years ago, I went to a race in Houston and the humidity was so high that I started to grow gills!

Plus the heat was almost unbearable for a Northmen like me...

Is the host not providing covered pits spots to the out of towners for the event?

We will have a large covered pit area. Should be 20 to 25* cooler then the outside temp.

They are in the process of adding a covered pit area to NControl. Don't know that it will be done by the EOS though. For the nationals, it should be in place though. However, I am sure we can accommodate the out of towners without issue for this race. I know I have space under my EZ up and can bring an extra table and chair if need be. I am sure there are others like this as well.

I would suggest to the out of towners to buddy up with a Texas racer for the EOS, I am sure you all know at least a few guys that you can reach out to.

Yeah, I don't think you'll suffer as much from the Humidity in Austin. Houston is special when it comes to Humidity.

However, August will be HOT. Unless we have a front blowing in, temps could range anywhere from mid 90's to mid 100's... Should be bearable in the shade with a fan though. Just wear lots of sunscreen, drink plenty of water and wear light clothing.
