i use a helios with the drop down... extended as far out as it will go. to me with that setting, it is most comfortable to use.. unfortunatly im soo use to it that setting i cant use any other radio, with out it feeling awkward... Not to mention the helios is much lighter then the others out there. Except for the jr z one. They are the same radio.. Go to ya hobby shop and try them out.. see which one feels best.

then buy the best HELIOS

I agree with Hurley on the comment he made how the M8/M11 just did not feel right. I just bought a Helio's myself and it feels so much better to me. It is not about how good the radio is rather then how good it feels to you. M8/M11 are very good radios but just did not feel right in my hand. You just need to hold/try some different brands out to see what works for you.

Not one of your choices but the Nomadio Sensor is fantastic. True telemetry feedback from your car. Great stuff.

if you do purchase a Helios.... there is a thread for the Helios (along with Ko Propo servos and escs) so you have massive support here on RCTech. just click on the link in my signature.

I would go with 3PK with HRS. You plan on going DSM eventually and spektrum has a system that for the 3PK that will use the HRS.

I own all of them.. I have 2 3PK's(I have no clue on how i ended up with 2)1 KO Helios and 1 M11,The 3PK and the M11 are easier to navigate than the KO,But once you get use to the Helios it's easy to navigate. For me the Helios is the most comfortable by far, lighter and with the drop wheel you don't even feel the radio. The next would be the 3PK,The only thing I do not like with the M11 is my thumb hits on the radio and it just bugs me,It has already found a new home.. MrUnlimited hit it right, get the one YOU feel most comfortable with.

I have a 3PK and Spektrum and it's the radio I prefer the most. Like MrUnlimited said it all depends on what radio you prefer. There is no best radio, only top of the line radios. The KO, the Futaba, the JR and the Airtronics are all top of the line radios. Chose the one that looks like or feels like the one you would prefer the most.

I bought a hitec aggressor and put spektrum in it for about $250.00 I like it a lot. I had been using a jr xs3 pro which I loved but I want spektrum so I had to go the way I went. I like them both.

I run an M8 with spektrum. Love it. It did take some getting used to, but after awhile it fits perfect.

Had a 3PK for awhile. Decided to sell it and keep the m8. I love how easy the m8 is to program. I could've figured out the futaba, but just didn't care to. It did feel nice in the hand.

Ran a buddies car last sunday, using the JR that's just like the helios. That radio was nice, felt great from the second I grabbed it. I don't know how they are to program, but they feel real nice and are spektrum compatible as well. I would like to try one with the drop down wheel though.
