So.... after 7 pages of debate and great jdeas, what's the consensus, Motiv, R1, TSR, Fantom? What's the fastest stock motor, looking for some thing new.

This thread is about the future of stock motors. We're not trying to come to a consensus for what is the best motor to use right now. There are already a few active threads regarding that topic.

Will preform way different at ANY FDR ... Which means if it's open motor you must purchase multiple motors now to have on hand to match the specified fdr which just makes things worse
Not to mention tech headache... I set kV with my motorlizer and yours is now reading it 3100 then test it again and it's 3050... Not able to work .
But guess tech could set every individual motors kV . That will not take long to set sensor deviation
Motor will have higher KV when hotter. I guess I'll try to conduct some test this spring break to test if the method will work.

Claim rules, handouts, brushed, re-spec the 17.5 motor....you guys can't really be serious. At a national race or maybe a state level series, maybe some of this could be used but not at the numerous tracks around the country wanting to use ROAR guidelines. Listen, FL has the longest running road racing series in the country. We did brushed handouts back in the day. The one complaint I heard a lot from the series staff was the hassle of the logistics itself with hauling that stuff back and forth all over the state. Not to mention storage and so on. Seriously, what's wrong with stock being 25.5? The level playing field is already in place. How bad do you want it?

Bingo the nature of racing usually the guy in front spends more money though not always the case it's typically how it goes

There is more to it than just the motor you need to know how to gear it to your car and driving. And the better drivers will win no matter what the restrictions I agree with open the esc then power is not an issue you then learn how to tune to put power down the most efficiently and effectively. With all the restrictions and everyone driving nearly identical cars you see them go round and round only when a mistake is made that anything changes

You clearly missed the many posts where brushed motors require a lot more maintenance, expensive tools to cut the comms etc, have a bunch of parts that wear out quickly etc. They are not cheap to run at peak performance.
