Default Tc gearing

Is there any advantage/disadvantage to 64 pitch gears instead of 48 pitch ?

Finer tuning options but a higher possibility of stripping if the mesh isnt right.

Finer teeth gives you a higher contact ratio (more teeth in contact at a time). This results in a very minor increase in mesh efficiency, maybe .1% at the most. The poster above hit on the main advantage of 64 pitch, you can make finer adjustments to the final drive ratio.
