Qual Points For On Road Racing On Black Carpet

Why Are You Typing Like This?

geeunit1014 01-22-2017 09:17 AM

It should be the way to run any race program where qualifying lasts multiple days

L.Fairtrace 01-22-2017 09:19 AM

Like Gee said. Should be used for any race that matters.

Carpet changes from round to round more than some Dirt tracks do now.

Our you guys for real. Or is this a joke? The carpet changes from round to round. No carpet I have ran on has. Almost ever race this year was re tqed in the last run. Please stop this crap and just race. Qual points are for Offroad races where the track changes a bunch. Onroad black carpet only get faster the more we run on it. Qual points would do nothing. Rocket rounds are for men that want to go fast.

Thanks,
Drew

You just made the case for it yourself. If you don't show up in the last round, youre screwed. If every race is tqd in the last round, why not just skip straight to 1 round of qualifying, so then races are shorter and you don't have to spend all weekend waiting for the one magic round to count

If you're doing 3+ rounds of qualifying qual points reward consistency rather than one hero round, which is a more fair way to determine main seeding, especially if there are no bumps.

Qual points for life...

This. Racers should be rewarded for being consistently fast not for throwing one run down in the last round.

Drew Ellis 01-22-2017 11:06 AM

Lol. Larry when have you been consistently fast at a big race. It's not about being rewarded for going slow and consist. It's TQ. The fastest guy there with the fastest run. Also when quals point were around it was best 4 out of 6. We do not do 6 quals anymore at any of the big races. So why it best 2 out of 4? Then what happens to the guy that gets screwed in 3 runs by a back marker but then tqs the last round with the fastest run. The fastest guy there is not in the main because he had issue in the first 3.

What's really funny is all the Amex guys are pushing for qual points. Everyone that is pushing for it is a team Amex driver. Seems like some other type of agenda is being pushed.

We go faster the last run because most racers no it's time to get it done. If we only had one qual it would be no different. To say the track changes is crazy during qualifying. Iic I felt the track stayed the same when quals started. My laps times and runs were pretty close. Only reason you go faster is because you drive better.

Drew Ellis 01-22-2017 11:14 AM

Tq is the fastest guy there not the most consistent driver. Go race Offroad and be rewarded for being consistent.
