Default Please help With my Pinions

I have just bought an XRAY EVO 2, and I have loads of TA04 pinions, does anyone know if i can use these on the XRAY, i believe they range from 39 up to 54?

Thanks

Tim

I think not. Tamiya pinions are a 'metric' version of 48DP (called 'module', and Tamiya pinions are 0.6 module).

Try rolling a Tamiya pinion on your X-Ray spur gear. If it is 0.6 module, it will not roll properly, it will occasionall jam. Since X-Ray spurs are 48DP, and you will need pinions very much smaller than the numbers you quoted for your Tamiya range, get 48Dp pinions and you know it is OK. HTH

If you can get the T04 spur gear to fit on your Xray, then you can use T04 pinions.
