At least drivetrain is free...the gearbox is the same as the FF12 so technically you can convert it to belt drive.

Supposedly in the low power classes they race these in Asia the gear drive gives more "snap" on high grip. I am willing to bet a belt drive conversion will be released for lower traction surfaces soon.

The FFTwelve was originally designed to accept Tamiya FF03 gears and prior to that the car was a Huge RC conversion kit (FF11) for the FF03... point being it was always supposed to be gear drive. http://www.redrc.net/2011/06/huge-rc...03-conversion/
Except for the new vertical upper deck and steering arrangement, it hasn't really changed since 2011 - not a complaint - it's still looks awesome.

Tough to decide on a body but I feel zero obligation to run an actual FWD body shell despite the USGT rules "encouraging" to do so since 4WD chassis aren't "encouraged" to run 4WD body shells. Anyway, I was planning to run the Protoform RWD Camaro Z28 body but it requires trimming away a good chunk of the nice hard foam bumper. Anyone know if the PFM body has more room in nose?

My brothers FF17 Camaro.

I just don't want to run a disadvantaged body. ROAR touring car bodies probably fit perfect and are mostly FWD in full scale but not legal in USGT of course.

I'll be likely test fitting the Protoform Cadillac, and the handful of Tamiya bodies I still have around (2 NSX's, Ferrari's, and an AUDI)

The PFM is fitting but it will sit a little bit to high...like a fwd offroad McLaren...1 down 10 to go
I will test the 3Racing Civic and the The Build RC Scirroco in the next weeks.
For the Scirroco the material on the web site is PVC but I ask them to confirm witch material it's made and they tell me polycarbonate...will see...

Finished the bench racing today very impatient to try it on the track next weekend!

Curious to see lap time and fade over 6 minutes of a super shorty vs a normal shorty.
