HPI Bodies on Tower Hobbies
 

Looks like HPI bodies are up for preorder on Tower. Maybe some good news for VTA, USGT and WGT-R.

I was wondering about HPI lately. Was looking at the M3 GT for my USGT car but wasnt sure if they even made them any more.

Rumor has it there is quite a bit of HPI bodies, tires, and wheels sitting in warehouses.

We have to wait for them to be released after the lawyers decide which suppliers from the bankruptcy are paid first and how much. Could be weeks, months, years.

Since getting back into RC in late 2010, I noticed HPI has only run small batches at a time of the clear 1/10 car bodies. The popular ones will sell out easily within a week after being stocked. You'd have to hunt them down at small town LHS or back order them online. Off-road truck bodies may be another story, but I doubt they had different production procedures. The pre-painted are always in stock and readily available as they're not nearly as popular. I can see a bunch of those laying around.
Wheels and tires are probably in pretty similar situation, tons of unpopular models laying around. The popular wheels and tires sell out fairly quickly, while just about every LHS and eBay seller has the ones nobody really wants or uses.
Not really sure about having to wait for lawyers to release stuff as just recently a ton of previously out of stock Sprint 2 parts hit stores, and there has been a pretty consistent RS4 Sport 3 parts supply being stocked also.
I don't really know where HPI currently stands with their bankruptcy or production, I'm just basing my statements off what I've seen and noticed myself.

I wish hpi would bring back the 70 aar for vta racing. Was a good looking body. Even the 70 challenger is hard to get now. Same goes for hpi stock of vta tires. For awhile the rears were hard to get. I'll have to keep eye out for cuda. Doubt it will make a comeback though
