I personally plan on running a Spektrum A5040 servo. Same servo I'm using in my CRC WGTR car and it works great.

Is there a happy medium starting point location to fine tune from? I have to start somewhere and I'm not sure where that would be. I do see a mention of flush mounting the front of the case but are the dimension on the front half of the servo case the same so this is a standard distance? Given the wide variety of servo sizes these days I'd have to assume no.

Servo Alignment - Assemble the servo saver, servo saver brace, and ball studs as shown in the diagram. Then when using the two-sided servo tape to hold the servo between the plates, line up the servo case flush with the edge of the graphite plates and this will give you just the right amount of “tie-rod sweep” (steering ackerman).
Thanks
Dave

Try everything level.... drive it, then make adjustments from there.
